Many of my readers are already completely au fait with the concept of a Tweet Up and the networking power that social media can have (whether marketing your wedding industry business or planning your own big day). However, for those of you that have just about overcome your technophobia enough to be reading an online wedding blog, let alone tweeting about it, I thought that I should explain the concept behind the Brides Up North Tweet Ups.

What is a Tweet Up?

A Tweet Up is basically a real life social networking event!

In simpler terms: a get together of wedding industry professionals, brides to be and wedding blog readers who have connected online.

In even simpler terms: a bit of a do.

Who are the Tweet Ups for?

Everyone who reads the Brides Up North wedding blog: wedding industry suppliers, wedding bloggers and real brides alike.

Come along to network, pick up tips, meet potential suppliers and enjoy a few cupcakes and cocktails.

Do I have to be on Twitter to come along?
.
Absolutely not. Twitter is just the starting point. Whether you have read about the Tweet Ups here on the wedding blog, been told about them by a friend or clicked my link on Facebook, you are equally welcome.

Where and when will the Tweets Ups be held?
.
The Brides Up North Tweet Ups will be held this summer in three locations across the North: The North West, The North East and Yorkshire at central, gorgeous, wedding friendly venues. Once you have registered your interest more details including date and location will be sent to you by invitation only email.

Is it safe to Tweet Up?
.
The Tweet Ups will be large group events, so should be perfectly safe. As in any situation, exercise common sense when meeting new people and only share your contact details when you feel comfortable doing so.
