I love a good stately pile. This one, located in the glorious Northumberland countryside, ticks all my Lady of The Manor boxes. Introducing, Middleton Hall.
.
Middleton Hall’s first wedding open day is this Sunday the 4th of September from 12pm – 4pm. They have a range of recommended suppliers on display and many of the rooms dressed for ceremonies and breakfasts. This is the ideal opportunity to come and have a look at what they have to offer. It is your chance to meet with Ashley, Middleton Hall’s dedicated wedding coordinator who will talk you through the different options on offer.
.
This afternoon, I chat to Ashley about what makes Middleton Hall a Dream Venue.

What facilities does Middleton Hall have?
.
The main hall houses 10 bedrooms which offer luxurious accommodation for up to 20 of your guests and additional day beds can be added for extra guests. Within the hall we have some fantastic social areas such as the orangery, south lounge and the games/boys’ room which houses its own full size snooker table. Our large dining room can seat up to 24 people making it the perfect location to relax with friends and eat some fantastic food the night before your wedding.

Tell us a little bit about the other buildings on site?
.
Two private lakes, walled Victorian gardens, mature woodland, and superb luxury accommodation are all within the estate’s private 30 acres. Manicured lawns and mature woodland wrap around the Hall creating the most idyllic position where peace and privacy are second nature. Adjacent to the Hall is our newly opened beauty room, with an on-site beautician and a large list of treatments, guests can relax and be pampered right up to and beyond their wedding day. Kate our in-house beautician can transform your wedding party from head to toe.
.
Lake Cottage, a 5* graded cottage located within the grounds of the Hall sleeps up to 6 people which is the ideal solution to those guests who wish to stay closer to the wedding venue. The cottage is the ideal entertaining space with an open plan kitchen, dining room and lounge. With traditional log burner and under-floor heating your guests will feel special from the moment they step into this luxury cottage.
.
Our romantic and secluded boathouse benefits from one of the best views in the estate, overlooking the lake. The boathouse which is open plan and sleeps two is the ideal romantic hideaway complete with its own boat and oars. Deer, heron, carp and otters are your only neighbours.

Does your hotel cater for weddings?
.
We are licensed for civil ceremonies and partnerships with our maximum number of evening guests being 120. We can however cater for those larger parties in a marquee which can be erected on the south lawn and hold up to 150 people. The main hall, the largest of the rooms in the Hall, can cater for up to 92 of your guests for a formal wedding breakfast. For those looking for a smaller more intimate reception why not have a look at the dining room which can seat up to 45 guests or the orangery which can seat up to 22 for a ceremony inside or up to 65 outside?

.
Can wedding guests stay over at your venue? What accommodation is on offer?
.
Included in the price of hiring the Hall is the use of the 10 bedrooms within the hall. With two dedicated four poster bridal suites the only problem we can foresee is deciding which guests sleep where as every room is individual and luxurious.

Tell us about your food/ menus/ wines…
.
We work with a fantastic and extremely experienced chef, Neil from Wilkins Fine Dining, who can create some delicious menus. 3 course wedding breakfasts start from £31 per person and with the knowledge that Neil has worked for the likes of the Ritz and the Savoy in London you will rest assured that his food is the best. If a formal 3 course breakfast is not your thing then we can offer you alternatives such as hot finger buffets from £12, hog roasts and for evening food why not try the fish and chips in a cone for something that bit different. If you do not wish to use our catering services this is not a problem at all, all we ask is that there is a small surcharge per guest.

What sets your venue apart from others?
.
Flexibility is our main aim as we understand that not everyone has imagined their special day the same. It is completely your decision as to where you wish to hold your ceremony even where you decide to create your aisle is your choice. Your wedding breakfast again can be designed and laid out which ever way you like. As we are a family run venue we understand the importance and significance your wedding holds for you and that is why we pull out all the stops and go that extra mile for you as we would for a member of our own family.

Why is Middleton Hall a great honeymoon destination?
.
The boathouse is the ideal honeymoon destination for those couples looking for peace, tranquillity and luxury. Overlooking the larger of the two lakes at Middleton Hall the boathouse stands camouflaged amongst the mature woodland. Floor to ceiling windows allow nature in and as you relax on the recliner chairs and gaze into the distance you will be amazed at how quickly time goes by.
