Wedding blog Featured Supplier Lee Brown Photography recently sent me this fabulous Real Wedding to share, and I once I saw the pictures I have been dying to post it here. I love all the Real Weddings that I feature on the bridal blog, but it’s quite rare that images make me giggle out loud. Laura and Gareth’s images are beautiful and filled with love and joy, but also some clever nods to the very famous couple that they were sharing their big day with. Watch out for the iconic horse and carriage shot, and a couple of famous faces…

Over to Lee: This was a very special wedding to me, I have known Laura since before I was born as our mums went to the same anti-natal classes together! We grew up in the same part of Reddish until my parents moved to Hazel Grove but we’ve always kind of stayed in touch and our mums work together. So I was thrilled to learn that she was getting married and even more so when she asked me if I could photograph her wedding to Gareth.

The date was set as 29th April 2011 long before Kate & Will decided to tie the knot however I think the Royal Wedding added an extra air of excitement to the day. I remember driving down to Laura’s mums house and seeing all the union jacks flying from houses, bunting crisscrossing the lamp posts and the streets eerily calm as people were glued to watching the Royal Wedding footage.

We got some gorgeous shots of Laura’s preparations, enjoying her breakfast with her family and finally putting on her dress (always with one eye on the royal coverage). I then raced up to Worsley Park to spend some time with Gareth before Laura arrived in her carriage with her dad John. Gareth was surprisingly calm and collected, sunglasses on and beer in hand and we had a laugh with his best man David

Laura arrived about 30 minutes later in a carriage pulled by two huge shire horses named Bob & Jake. Laura was all smiles and looking gorgeous and was escorted into the Country Club by her very proud
father John.

The ceremony was lovely, the rings were exchanged and was followed by a very special reading by Lauras cousin Philip. The couple then spent a few moments with gorgeous baby Katie who undoubtedly was star of the show before being sang down the isle by the very talented Rhonwen a friend of Gareth’s parents.

And then, a celebration fit for royalty got under way…
