Hello lovelies! I hope that you are all enjoying a fabulous extended weekend as we turn Monday into Sunday to celebrate May Bank Holiday. In this first post of the day I have a visual treat for you courtesy of Jamie Penfold Photography and a small collective of talented North East wedding industry suppliers.

Jamie says: This actually came about after I bumped into Emily from Soon to be Pinned (creator of the shoes and bouquets in the shoot). Her business is relatively new and she mentioned she needed some images doing for her website. Our conversation went from doing some simple shots of bouquets to doing a full blown shoot on location.

Emily found a superb location at Marco Polo Restaurant in Darlington. Our intention was to do a vintage tea party shoot but when Emily sent me some shots of the room it was screaming French chic to me. This was ideal as I was hoping to do something slightly different to the normal "vintage" look. I called on the help of Donna at The Timeless Table and Vikki at House of Mooshki who were both superb in providing some of their latest goodies for the shoot. The dresses are from Mooshki’s 2013 collection.

The shoot didn’t go without hitches. The room we were to shoot in had been set for an evening function so we were only able to shoot in a small section of the room. That didn’t spoil the shoot though as we managed to get the character of the room from the shots produced. To be honest it was a really fun shoot to do with diners in the restaurant looking on as I got the girls to pose and twirl for the camera. We were really grateful to the management of Marco Polo as they allowed us to use the room on a busy Saturday afternoon.
