Jamie fills us in: Kelly’s wedding day started at her Mum’s house in Ashbrooke, where a sense of calm excitement prevailed and the girls enjoyed a glass of fizz or two. Chris meanwhile was waiting just up the road at the very picturesque St John’s Methodist Church. The relaxed ceremony really was lovely – lots of laughter and smiles!

We shot a few semi-formal pictures around the church entrance – as you can see, they were also a hoot and the laughter just kept coming. The minute Chris stepped out of the church door, a huge seagull swooped down and, well, dropped an airborne wedding present right onto the lapels of his suit! Lots of comments were made about "good luck" and "good omens"! Less lucky for me as the resulting mess had to be taken out of every photo on the computer later…

They had chosen to have their reception at The Marriott Hotel by the beach at Roker. The staircase with its natural light flooding through the glass roof is an obvious spot for a few photos. Kelly and Chris were more than happy to take ten minutes out to get some dramatic photos. The reception was every bit as much fun as the rest of the day – a really wonderful day all round with one of the happiest crowds I’ve had the pleasure of working with.
