    Hi Brides Up North!

    .

Such a wonderful treat that you’ve lined up. I am officially addicted to your blog and it feels great to finally get in touch with you. I am continually taking a wealth of inspiration from the words and photos that you post.

My partner (Chris) and I are getting married 2nd June 2012 and so the count down has already begun. My super surprising proposal took place on Christmas day 2010 but we have not yet got round to doing an engagement shoot. I think that the pre-wedding excitement is a really special moment to capture and looking through McAvoy’s online portfolio I believe that they would do a truly wonderful job.

My fiance is a police officer and so works to a some what unforgiving shift pattern. This means that, even though we do live with each other, several days can go by where we don’t physically see each other. Texts, emails and little notes left around the house are often used by us both to remind the other that they are being thought of (or that they need to do some cleaning!). For example, I got into work on Friday morning to find an email simply saying ’361 xxx’. My fiance had sent this in the middle of his night shift ready for me to find when I got into work. It felt lovely to know that our wedding day was on his mind 24 hours a day and even when I am fast asleep. We can sometimes find it difficult to pin down days where we can just relax and enjoy some quality time together. To be given the gift of an engagement photo shoot would be fantastic! It would guarantee that we would schedule a date to have fun and capture it all in some amazing photos.

    .

You are doing such a wonderful job with your uniquely-Northern blog and you can certainly guarantee my readership for a long time to come. Keep up the good work!

    .

    Happy wedding wishes,
    Claire xxx
