If you are on Twitter, you must have been living under a stone if you have failed to notice the excitement about the Social Sirens Calendar. One of the organisers just happens to be Gina Griffiths of Brides Up North Wedding Belles Photo Shoot fame, owner of By Gina Jewellery and a wedding blog featured supplier.

Gina tells us more: A group of wedding professionals from all over the country have joined forces to create the charity calendar for 2012. ‘Social Sirens’ has been designed to help raise funds for PC David Rathband’s Blue Lamp Foundation and Help for Heroes.

The calendar idea came about through a discussion on a social networking site and the response was phenomenal. Within a week of it being mentioned we had received over 100 emails from people wanting to get involved and offering services.

Everyone on the site offered services including the venues and props along with photographers and hair and make-up artists. Even the models featured in the calendar were in the wedding industry and the majority had no previous modelling experience.

The photo shoots took place over the period of a week at four venues throughout the country starting at Walworth Castle, Darlington, Woodhall Manor, Suffolk, Langley Priory, Derbyshire and finishing at Charlton House in Somerset.

The calendar is officially being launched at a star studded black tie event on the 3rd September at The Assembly Rooms, Newcastle upon Tyne at 7pm. Tickets can be purchased on the website www.tweetgirls.co.uk and you can also pre-order the calendar on the website.
