Morning Brides Up North! Today’s A.M. offering on the wedding blog certainly isn’t a damp squib – but there is water water everywhere for this bride! Joanne Spencer Photography made this wedding blogger’s day by sending in these pictures of Hazel’s very wet Cherish The Dress Shoot. I hope you like them as much as I do.

In her fabulously frothy dress and watery woodland setting, Hazel reminds me of an ethereal queen of the fairies. Mere mortals beware.

Let’s hope someone was on hand with a towel!

Joanne reports: I was approached by one of Hazel’s bridesmaids and asked if I did Cherish the Dress shoots. I hadn’t actually done any before, but said that I would certainly love to do one. Hazel’s bridesmaids wanted to buy her a photo shoot so she could have more photographs taken in her dress, some that were more laid back and more fun than the ones on the wedding day where there is pressure to keep the dress clean!

I made a pretty voucher for the bridesmaids to give to Hazel on her hen night, and then once she had returned from her honeymoon we met for the shoot.

The shoot was in a small village near Lancaster, on a private estate – and it was a beautiful location. To top things off, Hazel was a beautiful girl in a beautiful dress. It was a great afternoon. The rain came down heavy at one point for about 20 minutes, but we stuck it out and I am SO glad we did. The light that we had after the shower was phenomenal under the canopy of trees.

Hazel had her bridesmaids along on the shoot (three of them), as well as her new husband, her mum, and a very cute little dog. So you can imagine the pressure I was under working in front of so many people, on my first shoot of this kind.

It went well though, and Hazel loved her images. I have another Cherish the Dress shoot this weekend so am really looking forward to having more fun with another gorgeous lady!

It’s a great wedding or hen night present to buy a friend, and the memories you can create from such a shoot are priceless, as you can see Hazel got stuck right in and wasn’t afraid to get her dress wet or a bit dirty – I was even in my wellies in the middles of the river, I had particularly wet feet by the time I had finished as the water had gushed in over the top of my boots. It was so worth it though!

I’m working on a new Cherish the Dress package at the moment and the details will soon be on my website, but if anyone would be interested in doing such a shoot, or purchasing one for a friend, then please do just get in touch!
