Last week, feeling relaxed after an anniversary break with my hubby, I sat down and drew up a happy list: the ten things making me happy right now.

I asked you lovely lot to take a break from the harum scarum of everyday life and wedding planning to sit back, smell the roses and spend a moment counting your own blessings. The response to my call for your happy lists has been huge – and I can’t tell you what a delight it has been reading all your submissions, both from wedding industry friends and my bride to be readers. Each email is like a little dose of inbox sunshine. I will try to feature a happy list on the wedding blog every week from now till Christmas, so keep checking back for the feel good factor.

Rebecca writes: Writing this list came at the right time as I am currently feeling the weight of juggling work, motherhood and a new business. Writing this has made me take stock of what’s important. Here is my list of things that make me happy, in no particular order:

1 Wrapping up for family walks on Beverley Westwood with our golden retriever, Sonny, and picking up sticks on route for the fire…

2 Lazy Sundays, the papers, a roast dinner, red wine and an 80’s film in front of the fire

3 The beautiful views on my commute through the Yorkshire Wolds and my daily glimpse of the sea

4 Helping spread the joy of pre-loved wedding items via www.sellmywedding.co.uk

5 The world through the eyes of my two year old son, Will
.
6 Craft evenings with the supper club girls
.
7 The upcoming wedding of one of my best friends, means lots of planning and celebratory time with my oldest and dearest friends
.
8 Wednesdays – my day off – and the fact that Will calls it Mummy day!
.
9 A rare night out with my husband, eating pizza and drinking red wine whilst planning our next holiday
.
10 A beautiful autumnal day, wrapping up warm and feeling the sun on my face!
