Rosie says: Sophie chose the Georgina headpiece as the French lace flower and silk organza complemented the lace on her Augusta Jones gown so well. Sophie didn’t want a traditional tiara, so the stylish Georgina was perfect for her. Sophie told me that she fell in love with so many of my designs when she tried them on with one of my stockists. When she saw the competition to win a Rosie Willett Designs headpiece on Brides Up North, she decided to try her luck at winning a second one… and she won! Sophie chose the fashionable polka dot Eleanor headpiece to wear for her evening reception.

Sophie says: I didn’t know what I wanted as a wedding headpiece at first as I was adamant I didn’t want a traditional tiara. When I first saw Rosie’s work I was in love and really didn’t want to have to take the sample headpiece off to leave the shop! I would still wear my lovely Georgina to work everyday if I could!

Everyone on the day said how unusual and beautiful it was and lots of people commented on how perfectly it matched the lace on my dress. I was also lucky enough to win a second headpiece from Rosie through a competition with Brides Up North wedding blog. I have enjoyed wearing Georgina and Eleanor to a number of parties and outings since, as they are both so fashionable. I hope one day to add some coloured pieces to my collection!

Rosie runs an ‘In The Spotlight’ feature on her website showcasing one of her lovely brides every month. She explains: I receive many photographs from happy brides who want to show me how gorgeous they look in their headpieces. It’s always a pleasure for me to see my designs on new brides and it’s really interesting to see how they can look with different styling. The same design might look romantic and whimsical on a bride with loose tumbling curls, or classic and elegant on a bride with a sleek up do. My designs have been worn with the most beautiful wedding dresses, including designs by Sassi Holford, Suzanne Neville, Lyn Ashworth, Lusan Mandongus and Charlotte Balbier.
