Hey you! Yes, that’s right, YOU. How happy are you? Not very? Feeling tired, stressed and irritable from all all this wedding planning malarkey on top of work commitments, family commitments and having some sort of a social life, are you? STOP RIGHT THERE.
.
You need a breather. Take five to remember why you are wedding planning in the first place, what really counts and be grateful for the little things that are making you happy right now. Life is about the journey, and it all adds up.
.
For a few weeks now on the wedding blog, I’ve been asking you to Count Your Blessings and send in your happy lists – ten things making you happy right now. The reader response has been fab, and I’m trying to feature a happy list on the blog every week from now until Christmas. Join in the fun and email yours to julia@bridesupnorth.co.uk. Kaley did, so this week, it’s over to her.

Over to Kaley: After reading some of your other Count Your Blessings posts, I really wanted to write in and say a few of the things I’m most thankful for and which make me incredibly happy. After a heavy year of work and yet more work at The Last Detail, it’s given me the opportunity to think about just how lucky I am. Thanks for this easy yet very important way to think about what you have!
.
The ten things making me happy right now are:
.
1 My husband
.
2 My children’s smiling faces when I pick them up from school
.
3 The child free lunch in planning with my husband when the children go back to school!
.
4 My 5 year old daughter winning ‘star of the week’ at school after trying so very hard with her reading
.
5 Running through Autumn leaves with my children
.
6 Spending time with my nephews aged 1 and 6 months
.
7 Running my own business
.
8 The fantastic 79 year old customer we are currently dealing with at work who is so excited about planning table decorations for her 80th birthday party – a joy to deal with!
.
9 Catching up with close friends and family over a Sunday Roast
.
10 Having cuddles with my children every morning before we get up and face the day
.

Whether you are a bride to be, newly wed, wedding enthusiast or wedding industry professional: please email me at julia@bridesupnorth.co.uk with your own happy list, and I will try to feature as many as I can here on the wedding blog.
