A little while ago, a lovely lady called Sarah got in touch (via Dine Services, who regular readers will know I work with on the Brides Up North Wedding Exclusives) to ask for my help in promoting a very special event at a gorgeous venue that I know rather well, The Mansion, Roundhay Park, Leeds.

Sarah, who is a full time doctor, told me all about her ideas for a unique afternoon to evening charity event, to be held on Saturday 19th May 2012 and to be called The Wedding Dress Ball.

And now tickets for this one off soiree are yours for the taking!

Sarah says: “This event is in aid of The Willow Foundation and is a fantastic opportunity to wear a special frock once again. Although nominally titled "The Wedding Dress Ball", it is built around the premise of wearing your most favourite outfit again be that an amazing vintage number, an over-the-top bridesmaid dress, a much loved ball gown or simply your beautiful wedding dress.”

The Willow Foundation is an absolutely amazing cause. It’s the only national charity that provides psychological and emotional support for seriously ill 16 to 40 year olds through the provision of special day experiences. The Willow Foundation say “Every special day aims to provide beneficiaries and their loved ones with a break from the realities of their diagnosis and treatment. At a time of uncertainty, spending quality time with family and friends can help restore a sense of normality, boost confidence and create precious memories for the future.”

Price: Just £60 per ticket, tables of 10 available to book also.
Details: Champagne reception at 3pm on the lawn, a three course gourmet dinner from 5pm, and entertainment from 8pm ’till midnight with a wedding DJ and a charity auction.
