I’m down in the Smoke this weekend for a family trip to support my friend (and honorary little bro) Nick in the final of the Top Model UK competition. Nick is a recent Brides Up North model – see him in action here – and we have been massively rooting for him here at Brides Up North HQ. Come on Nick – bring it home!

Alongside some FROW action as we cheer Nick on along the catwalk, I’ll also be finding the time to explore the capital – some shopping, a theatre trip, a trip to the park and a Mother’s Day lunch en masse on Sunday. Sounds a.w.e.s.o.m.e.

Let’s all take a breather and spoil our mums this weekend eh ladies? It’s time to celebrate, snuggle up and regroup as take it from me, next weekend is such a busy one all over the North with some top quality wedding events for Brides to Be that you just do not want to miss.

For North East ladies, pop along to the etc Wedding Show at Rockliffe Hall on Sunday 25th March. This is a ticket only event and the first 150 callers go completely free (!) so call 0191 501 7114 to make sure that you get yours.

This is no ordinary event, as brides-to-be and their families will be given five-star treatment at the wedding show with a glass of champagne on arrival. There are three time slots for visits to allow you to browse at your leisure. You will then get to browse the 30+ stands, visualise your wedding ceremony taking place in the elegant Old Hall or glass-roofed Victorian Orangery – which will be set up as if to host a civil wedding – then sit back and relax while etc Magazine puts on a glittering catwalk show.

For Yorkshire ladies, my friends Lisa and Allison over at The Wedding Affair are hosting their biggest event yet! You’ll be needing a glass of wine after this one girls!
