Lee says: This is a lovely summer wedding that I shot in July. Nicola and Tim gathered with their family and friends at the stunning Hilltop Country House nestled within the picturesque Prestbury countryside.

I spent the morning with Nicola and her family and friends shooting all their details and the busy goings on of a bride in preparation, before Tim arrived with his groomsmen. I followed them as they familiarized themselves with the house, the bar and finally found their button holes. We then had a wander around the garden and had a bit of fun at Nicolas request and at Tim’s expense.

Their service was scheduled to be outside on the patio, however British weather being rather unpredictable, it was moved into the stunning dining room of the country house for a lovely intimate ceremony. Funnily enough, as soon as the service began, the sunlight started streaming through the windows and lit the room beautifully.

Their service was a joy, intimate and full of love. The dining room of the main house, with standing room only, was packed with teary eyed family and friends and we got some amazing shots. The couple stood facing huge windows letting loads of light into the room illuminating everyone beautifully.

Once the registry was signed, everyone moved out on to the patio to shower the couple with rose petals before enjoying their drinks reception.
.
Whilst everyone was enjoying their drinks and a bit of sunshine I took some time to shoot all the details of their wedding breakfast. We also shot a few formals while the sun was out and began a few stunning bridal portraits just before the weather turned.

After dinner it was time for speeches and anyone who knows me knows that I love speeches, so I was in my element capturing the nerves, laughter, tears and all round loveliness. We then took a step back and simply watched all the goings on of the evening, small moments between relatives, old friends and new ones. I also took this chance to steal Nicola and Tim away again for a few more portraits before the rain intervened once again.

This led us right up to another of my favourite moments, the first dance. Hilltop Country House has a fantastic little Boogie Room which is pitch black before the music starts and then lights up pretty spectacularly shrouding the couple in perfect light. We finished off a fantastic day with a few more sunset portraits before I left the couple to party the night away with their family and friends. Many Thanks to Nicola and Tim for inviting me to shoot their day, I had a wonderful time!
