Don’t worry – I don’t think any fog signals will be sounding anytime soon! Brides Up North reader Victoria brought the sunshine of Cuba home for her engagement shoot with Katie Byram Photography after having to cancel her destination wedding following the early arrival of a very special little bundle.

Victoria says: We got engaged in Cheshire whilst spending time at Chris’ mum and dad’s in March 2011. We are tying the knot on 18th May 2012 at The Little Haven Hotel, South Shields. We had planned to get married in Cuba but had to cancel when our daughter was born at 29 weeks. So the wedding has taken just four months to arrange!

We met at Newcastle Train Station! Our first date was a romantic dinner at an Italian restaurant in Newcastle then afterwards to No. 1 Grey Street a cocktail bar which is also in Newcastle. I knew that Chris was the one straight away as he made me feel so at ease and it instantly felt like I known him all my life.

We chose to have an engagement shoot to help us relax as we both dislike getting our photos taken. Katie is very good at making you relax and after seeing the results we can’t wait for the wedding photos. We really enjoyed the shoot.
