This morning I was up with the lark and off in the motor to assist on a shoot at a very exciting private new wedding venue that I am thrilled to be working with shortly. I’ll be back soon to share some gorgeous images and tell you more, but until then, I’ll leave you with a fun and fabulous mini wedding inspiration shoot in the North East, send to me by friend of the wedding blog Kerry of Daisychain Events.

Kerry says: After working on a couple of inspiration shoots with some amazing North East suppliers, I was keen to give it another go as I really enjoy the whole creative process of starting with a mood board and then developing the ideas and culminating in an amazing shoot!

This shoot was one which came about through Emma from Little Bundles Bunting when she was chatting with Shelley who is the events coordinator at Newcastle Falcons Rugby Club. The club were planning a re launch of their wedding packages and wanted to promote it to potential brides and grooms. The venue has some fab spaces and is also one of the few in the North East large enough to cater for Asian weddings which often have in excess of 200 – 300 guests.
.
The theme was a no brainer and I chose the sports and sweeties theme so that we could highlight the masculine image of the venue and the rugby element with a girlie edge.

The day of the shoot was fabulous and everyone pitched in to help with setting up shots. We even had a little helper in the form of Jamie’s two year old daughter who thoroughly enjoyed herself running around the function rooms trying to grab sweeties before eventually falling asleep!
.
We hope that by pulling together our ideas that couples can draw little snippets of inspiration for their own day. We are now looking at doing another shoot in the near future with a completely different and altogether more theatrical theme! Watch this space!
