Katy says: The Jubilee theme may seem a little predictable for my mood board this week but I have stayed away from obvious icons and stuck with the red, white and blue colour scheme. This way the patriotic trend is timeless and still useable for brides who love the theme but aren’t getting married till next year.
.
I went with a low key garden style wedding rather than an over the top Royal Wedding and picked summery hints and decor to show off the colour scheme. Instead of this year’s bunting fad I have opted for fashionable striped pinwheels and fancy wild florals. The table decor is a lovely change from the stark white wedding settings and the white and red tableware and vases really pop against the dark blue cloth. If this is too dark for your taste you could keep the table covering white and use beautiful vintage blue china patterned crockery to match that beautiful dress from Joules, which would be perfect teamed with red shoes for red, white and blue bridesmaids.
.
For the leading lady I picked a dress that resembled Pippa Middleton’s Royal Wedding bridesmaid dress, perfect for a Summer garden wedding. I opted for some beautiful ruby earrings – which could easily be swapped for sapphires if you were looking for your ‘something blue’. For a headdress – keeping it regal but ditching the tiara for simple but pretty pearls!

Remember: the plan is to share a new inspiration board in this time slot every week, either compiled by myself, regular guest blogger Katy or YOU: get in touch with your own ideas and inspiration boards! We’ll be discussing our inspirations behind the images too so it’s simply going to be a whole load of lovely.
.
If you are a little less arty but in need of inspiration and still want to play along, we will also be taking requests for colour schemes and themes and making bespoke boards for my readers. Please contact me to suggest a theme or colour scheme.
