Feeling quintessentially English here on the wedding blog this morning (might break for a scone and clotted cream soon) with a beautiful styled shoot sent to me by a team of North West wedding industry suppliers.  They congregated at Combermere Abbey on a lovely Summer’s day to put together this stunning set of images to inspire you to add some floral loveliness to your own big day.  I can almost hear your Pinterest fingers twitching already, so without further ado, lets enter the Secret Garden…

The team say:  Unique and beautiful, the Victorian walled gardens at Combermere Abbey, with their botanical riches and stunning architecture, make for one of the UK’s most spectacular wedding venues.  This combined with the current floral design trend, was the inspiration behind our enchanting ‘Secret Garden’ themed shoot.

The aim of the creative team was to capture the ethereal and timeless sensation that pervades at Combermere, a venue which constantly delights, transforms with each season and where each wedding enjoys its own uniqueness.

The shoot was styled by Rebecca Jenkinson of Pretty Little Trio whose vintage crockery, silverware and artifacts add elegance and timeless style to the images. Rebecca’s passion for all things vintage and eclectic collection of pretty china, cutlery, props and glassware is available to hire to create the sweetest of weddings.

The wild floral bouquet was the creation of Heather Ryder of Living Colour at Stockton Heath, inspired by the secret garden theme, seasonal blooms included roses, peonies, passion flowers and Sweet William, in vibrant pinks and deep magenta shades and incorporated crochet cotton lace detail and tiny keys to represent ‘The Key to my Heart’ with complementary floral table arrangements.

.

This theme also was enhanced by hand-made stationery, courtesy of Hattie Boo Designs.  Emma Bryan of Hattie Boo celebrates the written word and tactile creations, with imaginative and beautiful stationery for all of life’s events including weddings.

.

Tempting desserts were presented to the table by specialist event caterers, Pickled Walnut, whose combination of fine foods and sense-of-theatre have won them a place as one of the Abbey’s preferred suppliers.

.

Lace chair covers, complementing the table setting, were provided by wedding gown designer, Claire Mischevani of Shrewbury, and are available for hire.

The bride was dressed by Kirsten Lindsay, of Amy Louise Bridal Gowns, Nantwich. This family-managed designer bridal boutique is one of the premier retailers in the North West, with a stunning array of designer gowns and accessories. Those showcased are the exquisitely beaded, vintage-style Jenny Packham ‘Azalea’ and also the purely beautiful, simple ‘Scarletta’.

.

Make-up and hair styling was by cute Rockabilly sister-duo, Pouting in Peep Toes. Sal and Eve Yarwood worked their retro-magic on our bride, Lauren, giving her a dreamy ‘English rose’ appearance.
