This season, I am told by those who really know, it’s all about “the back”.
One someone who certainly knows these things is Kathryn at Kathryn S Trueman Bridal & Occasions in Morpeth, Northumberland, and today she’s here on the wedding blog to show off the latest collection from the newest designer to be stocked in her lovely boutique (and one of my personal favourites!) Claire Pettibone.
With ethereal imagery by the fabulous Adamskii Photography, and shot on location at Brides Up North Luxury Wedding Exhibition venue, The Alnwick Garden, this is one beautiful way to start the week.

Kathryn says: Claire Pettibone are an L.A. based design house best known for their intimate, feminine and couture styling. Claire describes herself as a ‘true romantic’ and her vintage, yet modern dresses certainly have that “je ne sais quoi”! .

"When I design a collection I strive to make a woman feel as special as the delicate creation she is wearing; take her to an enchanted time and place where women are princesses and magnificent goddesses. In today’s modern world we need to pause and indulge in beauty." Claire Pettibone

My team at Kathryn S Trueman Bridal decided to celebrate becoming the only stockist of Claire Pettibone in the North East of England by having an exclusive photo shoot of the dresses at the exquisite Alnwick Garden in January this year.

We wanted to find a setting that mirrored the Claire Pettibone styling, and where better than on our own doorstep, at the Alnwick Garden and it’s magnificent Treehouse Restaurant?

The photographs were taken by Adamskii Photography, who share the building with our boutique, at 42 Bridge Street Weddings – the recently launched ‘Wedding Department Store’ in Morpeth. 42 Bridge Street Weddings also houses Demoiselle Lingerie, K Beautique Makeup, Wiggle & Gilbert Menswear, Black Stripe Events, Hummingbird Jones Wedding Stationers and the Adamskii Photobooth! With 42 Bridge Street Weddings we have created the ‘Harvey Nicks’ of the Wedding Industry, offering eight top quality wedding services under one roof.

Back in January, Alnwick Garden was closed to the public, yet we were granted access for this shoot. We started off around the magnificent Fountains and the Poison Garden, before moving over to the Treehouse – somewhere that Adam has wanted to use for a fashion shoot for years – and finally ending up in the Walled Gardens. The dresses made the shoot, and the models were fantastic – we wanted a certain ethereal innocence to shine through; ‘Alice In Wonderland meets Narnia’!

42 Bridge Street Weddings will be exhibiting collectively at The Brides Up North Luxury & Vintage Wedding Exhibition at The Alnwick Garden on Sunday 18th May 2014. A beautiful, excusive event in an extraordinary setting. Closing our spring season for 2014, it’s set to be a magical day. Be inspired!
