The sun really was shining on our glorious Super Sunday of Brides Up North wedding exhibitions last weekend at our two very lovely outdoor wedding venues – the extraordinary Alnwick Garden in Northumberland and the so very special Middleton Lodge, near Richmond.
This is the first time that the Brides Up North team has produced two bridal events on the very same day – and I won’t pretend that I wasn’t a little angst-y – but I’m so proud to say that with a lot of planning, behind the scenes elbow grease and hard, hard, work, everything came together perfectly to make for one bumper day of “real life” wedding inspiration for our readers. Yay!
The team was split on Sunday, so whilst Kate and the girls hosted our beautiful exhibition in sunny Alnwick, I was in Richmond, getting busy with the pretty and trying my very best not to stop for a sneaky sunbathe (I may have snuck in a few cheeky ice creams).
Any brand new event (this was our first show at Middleton) is always more tricky than a tried and tested formula, but our amazing exhibitors and the practically perfect (oh, go on them, completely perfect) events team at the venue stepped things up to make this one of our loveliest days yet.
As luck would have it, friend of the wedding blog Hayley Baxter Photography popped in with her trusty Canon to take some shots of our gorgeous set up and this stunning venue bathed in sunshine. Divine.
