This afternoon we’re treating you to more stunning seasonal inspiration in the form of this dreamy styled shoot.
Put together as part of a training course, North West based photographer Hannah Joy, was challenged to capture gorgeous portrait couple images whilst also documenting all the little details included on the styled set, from metallic-dipped fruits, plants and leaves, to elegant calligraphy and props.
All in all we think Hannah did a splendid job with both the couple and the details captured beautifully in the peaceful, rustic surroundings. Now to fill us in on how the styled shoot was brought to life, we’ll hand over the blogging reins to snapper Hannah…

It was an absolute pleasure to photograph this stunning styled shoot during a workshop I recently attended, which was held by Aspire Photography, in the Lake District, Cumbria.
The styling of the shoot allowed for a soft romantic feel with a touch of rustic autumnal loveliness. A colour palette of soft blush mixed with rich metallic hues of gold, silver and copper helped to create the rustic yet soft and romantic theme.
The little details of green bottles and foliage added a botanical feel alongside the golden leaves, mini pumpkins and fruit, which kept the look in line with the current season.
The dreamy flowers, provided by Made In Flowers, and the beautiful stationery by Calligraphy For Weddings, followed the theme, as did the and hairstyling makeup by the talented Lucy Pearson. With the addition of the beautiful setting of Hipping Hall, in Kirby Lonsdale, the images produced have a beautifully soft and whimsical look to them.
The styled shoot ran really smoothly from beginning to end. We had two gorgeous models who were just recently married and very much in love, which brought true feelings and emotions to the shoot that I think comes across well in the images. I think the couple enjoyed the fact that they could put on their wedding outfits once again and relive their special day, not to mention the added bonus of having some more gorgeous images to keep forever!
The weather was just perfect and provided plenty of soft beautiful light to create some stunning images. The only challenge we faced during the day was when the grass was a little muddy and boggy, which is not ideal with a beautiful white dress! However, with the help of the groom to carry his bride over the mud it was soon overcome! Sometimes it really is worth it to go the extra mile to get those extra special images.
All in all I absolutely loved photographing the styled shoot as I love to capture all the little details and the pretty things, as well as the loved-up couple themselves. It’s certainly inspired me to do more styled shoots in the future, so watch this space!
