The excitement of shopping for your perfect wedding day attire doesn’t stop at the dress (thank goodness!), for there are those all-important finishing touches to consider too; from shoes, belts and jewellery to headpieces, tiaras and veils.

Keen to ensure your ‘I do’ ensemble comes together harmoniously our wonderful Sponsor, LOVE Bridal Boutique in Altrincham, Cheshire, is hosting an special Accessory Evening event, with expert styling, sweet treats and fizz galore, plus a 10% discount for all purchases and orders made during the event.

Taking place on Thursday 22nd November, 5pm to 8.30pm, brides future, past and present are welcome to attend, though numbers are limited due to the size of the boutique so having your name on the guest list is essential. As such, we’re inviting LOVE boutique owner Emma Draper to the blog today to explain more about the fabulous designer creations that will be available and, most-importantly, how to RSVP!

What are the benefits of the event to brides-to-be?

While the dress undoubtedly takes centre stage, it’s the accessories that complete the look! So, this event is ideal for those who have found the dress and are now looking for the finishing touches. If we have their dress in stock, we will happily pull it out for brides so they can colour match, style or compare. Plus, there is 10% off all purchases and orders made during the event so a great chance to bag a bargain!

Can you tell us a little more about some of the accessory designers and their creations?

Charlotte Mills is well known for her love-heart shoe designs with girly and glitter detail. Each shoe fulfils the ‘something old, something new…’ concept complete with this traditional message and a sixpence on the sole of every shoe.

Harriet Wilde’s iconic and vintage-inspired embellished heels are not only show-stoppers but customisable, making them extremely popular with our brides.

Hermione Harbutt is known for her stand out headpieces, for exceptional quality craftsmanship and originality of design. Each Hermione Harbutt piece is entirely unique and created by hand in the UK design studio using the finest pearls, Swarovski crystals, gemstones and diamonds.

Donna Crain believes every wedding outfit should be unique. She knows how important it is to find the perfect accessory to complete the look, understanding that the finer details deserve just as much care and attention as the dress itself. Her collections cover a range of styles; from vintage and Hollywood glamour to romantic floral pieces and sophisticated boho styles.

We will be showcasing an extended range of shoes with some additional pieces from our jewellery and headwear designers for this event only.

Any particular favourites or stand out pieces for you personally?

We have an incredible selection from delicate simple accessories to more detailed, standout pieces.

We are particularly looking forward to showcasing styles such as Charlotte Mill’s Francesca courts with glitter-block heel. A simple pointed-toe which you may just get a glimpse of when you walk due to the fit and style of the gown, but with a wow heel too, and perfect if you’re not a fan of a stiletto.

A particular favourite among LOVE brides is the Joanie shoe from Harriet Wilde. This shoe has a clever added platform, with a delicate pointed toe, and is available in two heel heights, depending on our brides’ preference. There’s also the option to add the signature Harriet Wilde embellished heel. Perfect for any dress style but particularly more slinky gowns where you will almost certainly see a peek of shoe as you walk.

What is the price range of the shoes you stock?

Prices start from £170.

And the accessories?

Prices vary from £50 (for smaller items such as earrings) upwards.

What are you looking forward to most about the event?

Aside from the delicious cakes from Yolk (!), who doesn’t like to browse and play with tiaras, jewellery and shoes? As self-confessed accessory addicts, we cannot wait to show off all the beautiful and delicate ranges we have available.

Do you have any advice for brides-to-be attending the event?

Most accessories have a lead time of about six to eight weeks as they’re typically made to order, so we will take orders on the night, and it will then just be a few weeks until they arrive. Shoes are usually despatched fairly quickly if they are in stock in your size, there may however be a short waiting time if the designer is waiting for stock to arrive. We would recommend any brides specifically coming for shoes to let us know the specific shoe style and size they are interested in in advance of the event, so we can order them in for them (subject to availability). This should enable brides to take them away with them on the night, particularly if needed urgently.
