We would love to welcome new exhibitors to the Brides Up North & UNVEILED family in 2019 & 2020. We are now accepting exhibitor bookings for all of our epic Luxury Wedding Shows across three regions.
Exhibitors will be strictly limited by category and places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Since their inception in spring 2012, all exhibitions have been sell outs on exhibitor space. Consequently, we expect demand to be very high. Get in touch as soon as possible to guarantee your place.
Here the Northumbrian venue’s team guides us through its extended wedding experience outlining how to prolong the party with use of its fine spaces and flawless hospitality.
Day 1
Afternoon: Arrive & Explore
Welcome to Doxford Barns, your wedding experience starts today! Your dedicated wedding coordinator has greeted you on arrival and introduced our operations team who will be on-hand throughout your stay to ensure your dreams become reality. Now you know you’re in the safest of hands, you can begin to relax in our row of cosy country cottages; yours and your close guests’ home-from-home for the next few days!
Evening: Dine & Relax
Once your party has settled in, head over to the Cart Shed for an intimate gourmet meal under an array of mood-lit original oak beams. The Turnbull Bar will be fully stocked and staffed, ready to kick-start your pre-wedding celebrations, with the adjoining Forge set as a cosy hideaway for those who may prefer to rest and relax before the big day.
Day 2
Morning: Prep & Ceremony
Your big day has arrived, and the excitement is at fever-pitch! As promised, your dedicated wedding co-ordinator will be on-hand throughout the morning to ensure everything runs without a hitch. The bride and leading ladies can enjoy being prepped and pampered in the Bridal Suite, whilst groomsmen can take their time getting ready in the light-filled Morning Room.
Start the celebrations for guests in style, by treating them to a glass of bubbly before they make their way to The Threshing Hall for your ceremony. Filled with original features and decked out in festoon lighting, the 18th Century barn will provide the most romantic of I-do settings, as you say your vows in front of the grand, candle-lit fireplace.
Afternoon: Toasts & Photos
Now it’s official, it’s time to raise a glass, or two! Head back through to The Cart Shed for your drinks and canapés reception where you can enjoy toasting and chatting with your nearest and dearest.
Once you’ve said your hellos and the drinks are flowing, it’s the perfect time to elope across our private country estate with your photographer to get those all-important album shots. While you visit Doxford Lake and get candid portraits in the surrounding meadows, we’ll make sure everyone is well looked after back at the Barns!
Evening: Speeches & Meal
Enter The Great Barn to an uproar of applause from guests, all seated under a canopy of oak beams, festoon lights and decorative hops overlooking the surrounding farm-scape. Next up, the speeches which are guaranteed to draw laughter and tears of joy from each and every table before moving on to your wedding breakfast.
Our incredible team of in-house chefs have been working their magic to ensure your food meets our high standards of culinary excellence before leaving the kitchen. Indulge in the finest, locally-sourced, seasonal British produce paired with exquisite wines poured by our front-of-house team, who will be there throughout to attend to every need and ensure all have a magical time.
Night-time: Drinks & Dancing
After the wedding breakfast, The Great Barn transforms into the most magical stage as you cut your cake and take to the floor for your first dance. Then we let the celebrations continue long into the night! If guests need a small break from dancing, the courtyard offers an incredible festoon-lit space to sip Champagne beneath the stars, while the fire pits on the front lawn are perfect for toasting marshmallows.
Day 3
Morning: Breakfast & Goodbyes
You’ve spent your first night as a married couple and are on a newlywed-high, but the celebrations aren’t over just yet! Return to The Cart Shed for a luxurious breakfast surrounded by your friends and family as you reminisce about all your big day best-bits. The perfect end to your perfect wedding.
