Can you tell us about the setting of venue?
The team say
: Our impressive venue is situated on the Northumberland coastline, in an area of outstanding natural beauty with miles of unspoilt, quiet beaches, romantic sandy dunes and a magnificent coastal panorama with the ruins of 14th century Dunstanburgh Castle in the background.
You have recently expanded your choice of wedding settings to include three fabulous options – please can you tell us a little about each of these?
The Main House
Our Georgian manor house is brimming with eclectic furnishings, rich colours palettes and opulent interiors. It’s a luxurious and stately space that makes all feel at home with atmospheric drawing rooms, period panelled bar and spacious breakfast room. Perfect for smaller weddings, the house can cater for intimate ceremonies of up to 25 guests and larger evening receptions of up to 100 guests.
The Beach
A dreamy and natural blank canvas, the beach can feature as much or as little in a couple’s celebrations as they wish. As well hosting incredible ceremonies, blessings, drinks receptions and wedding breakfasts, the beach is an amazing space for family fun too, be it a chilled pre-wedding picnic or post cricket or volleyball match the day after. Couples can style their own unique celebrations for up to 100 guests upon the sandy dunes, or alternatively pick from Newton Hall’s three specially curated beach experiences – Simple Sophistication, Contemporary Chic or Festival Feels.
The Enchanted Chapel & Garden Suite
A luscious indoor paradise with a unique connection to nature, this splendorous and captivating space can accommodate up to 150 guests for the ceremony and 200 for the evening reception. Leafy botanics sit alongside ornate décor and sumptuous furnishings while a waterfall formed from ancient rocks sits adjacent the aisle to provide a striking focal point. Guests will be wowed by the Garden Suite’s ‘wall of glass’ which offers breath-taking views of the surrounding countryside and North Sea beyond.
And can you tell us about the accommodation at the venue?
Putting the luxe into luxury, Newton Hall houses 21 boutique bedrooms each individually designed to have its own character and charm. The choice of bedrooms, suites and cottages vary from French chic and colonial elegance to cool, loft-style living, with special features such as four-poster beds, freestanding tubs, private roof terraces and hidden gardens.

Supportive at every step of the planning journey, each Newton couple is assigned their own dedicated wedding coordinator to assist, help and inspire in bringing the big day vision together. Furthermore, on the big day itself, brides and grooms are provided with a master of ceremonies, an experienced operations manager and their very own personal butler ensuring every element goes without a hitch.
Tell us about your dining options and what makes them special?
Working to couples’ individual tastes and specifications, Newton Hall’s award-winning chefs can provide gastronomical delights to suit every style of feasting; from a three-course wedding breakfast to a seven-course banquet, or alternatively, seafood feasts, relaxed picnics, barbecues and street food. For beach-side suppers there is even the option of fish n’ chips with curry sauce wrapped in newspaper – trust us when we say that anything is possible!
