From twinkling illuminated letters to on-trend neon signs – Coco Luminaire has been lighting up the wedding and events industry in the North East since 2013.

Founded by UNVEILED Network Member Laura, the business provides a wide range of lighting options to make your wedding day and venue ultra personal to you. Their lights create a stunning atmosphere as your big day transitions from day to night, whether it’s the warm glow from light-up filament bulb letters or a cool neon vibe from glass signs.

There are so many ways to add a unique touch to your wedding day and Coco Luminaire’s illuminated props work great as welcome signs too, perfect for greeting your guests on arrival, framing your top table, or lined up along the dance floor to create a picture-perfect backdrop to your first dance.

The team supplies lights for use across your full wedding day and night, and they’ll seamlessly deliver, set up, and collect from your venue in the most discreet and professional manner, providing a stress-free service. Sounds like the perfect combination to us! Let’s chat to Laura to find out more.

Laura says: We supply a huge range of neon signs, 5ft illuminated letters, 4ft wooden letters, mini letters, personalised hearts, cinema signs, arrows, and stars. The list is endless! Our highly skilled team design and create all of our products with the knowledge of your venue at the forefront of our mind. We make props that are specifically sized and designed to look at home in top venues across the North East. Let us know your venue and we’ll be able to tell you which of our custom signs will perfectly complement your wedding room.

Our products add a personal touch to a wedding day and create great photo backdrops for guests and our couples alike. In turn, our props add a fun focal point to the day too – who doesn’t love posing?

We have been lucky to provide our props to some micro weddings during the previous 12 months. Our mini Coco range or neon collection can add a more subtle touch to a smaller gathering. Sometimes less is definitely more!

Neon pink is hot right now. It just screams cool vibes and adds a touch of fun to your day.

Sometimes our couples just know what they want, and we love it when our customers have bespoke ideas! Just get in touch with your specific requests and we will try our best to accommodate your ideas. We can help you design and create a sign that is unique to you, whether it’s something just for your big day or something you wish to keep forever.

It’s super easy. Once you have decided what you would like, we get you booked in the diary, send a quick email before your day, then set up and collect the lights at your venue without you even noticing. Our wealth of experience and knowledge of venues across the North East means we have already liaised with your wedding planner and figured out the details and logistics of your big day before you have even had a chance to think about them! Making things easy for you is what we do best.

Since our launch in 2013, we’ve never been one to follow the trends. Instead, we prefer to set our own. Each and every one of our products is original and designed by us, for us.

Make lighting and props personal to you, think about things you love, and incorporate them into your big day. We love spelling out fun statements, so don’t be scared to get creative and make your day unique to you as a couple.

Also, think about the progression from day into night and how your lighting can be used to bring atmosphere to all stages of the day.

Our top tip, however, is to ask for advice. This is (probably) your first time planning a wedding and we happen to know a thing or two about them!

We think everyone should be free to plan their day the way they want it to be; after all a wedding celebration is an expression of you as a couple. But one thing I would say is to be mindful of how much space you have in the venue, choose your lighting carefully to complement the room’s décor, flowers and colour scheme, rather than overwhelming everything.

Neon is definitely on trend at the moment, and I can’t see it going anywhere soon. Our range of neon signs is ever-growing, so there will always be something fresh and unique to brighten up your venue.

Integrating a floral arrangement to your neon signage will be a big trend in the coming years, and we work in collaboration with some of the North East’s top venue stylists and florists, so speak to us and find out how we can work together to create something truly unique for your wedding day.

You’ve probably guessed that I’m obsessed with neon! We designed our first neon signs five years ago for our own wedding and I haven’t stopped since. I love our newest “Til Death Do Us Party” neon. The contrast of the four different colours just looks so cool and sets the tone for a fun evening. It would look amazing on a dance floor to create a party atmosphere.

I also love our gorgeous floral heart. It’s not only super stylish and elegant, it’s also one of our most versatile props with the ability to change your personalised lettering throughout the day.

We have some exciting ideas for new products in the pipeline, so keep an eye out on our Instagram page for a few sneak peeks in the coming months!

We have just launched our new website, with an up-to-date catalogue including all of our newest products. There is so much inspiration on the site, so head there for some great starting points, then drop us a message and let us know what has caught your eye.

If you prefer to see things in person, we have a stunning Aladdin’s cave of a showroom in Newcastle. Drop us a message and book in for an appointment to chat all things lights.
