There’s just something about a wedding at Loved Up Club member venue Rise Hall that makes us swoon every single time.
Maybe it’s the sweeping drive, the stately rooms, or the fact you can move your entire entourage in for the weekend without anyone tripping over a suitcase in the hallway. Whatever the secret ingredient, Rise Hall is the sort of place where wedding dreams come to life – with a healthy dose of Yorkshire charm, of course.
Today, we’re positively giddy to share Charlotte and Dan’s stunning big day – a celebration brimming with timeless style, proper belly laughs, and that elusive blend of laid-back luxury that Rise Hall does so well. From the moment guests checked in for a weekend of merriment (and a cheeky glass of fizz or two), it was clear this was going to be one for the memory books!

Proposal
We got engaged in December 2021, while on holiday in Iceland. Dan proposed right in front of a beautiful, frozen waterfall, with not another person in sight. It was honestly magical.

Venue
Our wedding was in early September at Rise Hall. We love that time of year, and the venue was the perfect choice for us. We live in London and our families are spread all over the country, so it was really important to have a place where we could all spend the full weekend together. With 31 bedrooms and so much space, everyone could truly relax.
We stayed at Rise Hall for the whole weekend, which made everything feel extra special.

Style
We went for a traditional, stylish and neutral theme, which felt very in keeping with Rise Hall. For our colour scheme, we chose forest green for the bridesmaid dresses and groomsmen’s ties. We thought it would be timeless and suit that time of year. It really pulled out the colours from all of the trees before they turn orange for autumn. For flowers and everything else, we went for white and gold – neutral and beautiful.

Outfits
My wedding dress was by Pronovias at Mirror Mirror London. I wanted a classic A-Line cut – something I wear a lot day-to-day – but for it to feel elevated. The gorgeous appliquéd material did this perfectly. I absolutely loved my dress.
The bridesmaids wore forest green satin gowns in different styles from Rewritten. Dan and the groomsmen matched the colour scheme with their accessories.
Hair & Beauty
Unity Rhodes Bridal (who is unbelievably talented at what she does!) did my hair, and Toni Neylon Makeup did my makeup.

Photography
Jemma King was our photographer, and I would definitely recommend her. We didn’t want to spend a lot of time posing for pictures as it was really important for us to be present and enjoy ourselves. Jemma understood this completely, and we have hundreds of gorgeous candid shots of us enjoying ourselves with our friends and family.

Videography & Content Creation
We used AA Videography, who did an amazing highlights video which makes us emotional every time and also beautifully captured all the speeches which are so amazing to have and to keep.
Content By Meg was also incredible – she is so lovely, creative and it was the best decision we made! Having content to look at within 24 hours over a glass of champagne was so special.

Floral Design & Styling
Ivy Lane Florist provided our flowers. I gave her quite a bit of creative licence – we just knew we wanted a mixture of white flowers with romantic textures and lots of olive branches and greenery to match the bridesmaids’ dresses. We loved them!
Belle Bijoux styled our wedding with amazing candles, tableware and lighting.

Cake & Favours
Scrumbcakes made our cake, we told her our general vision for the wedding with regards to a timeless and romantic feel and it turned out beautifully!
We didn’t do traditional favours, but we provided each guest with a personalised newspaper from The Crafty Lab, which everyone enjoyed at breakfast the next morning.

Food & Drink
Dine, the catering team who also own the beautiful venue, provided us with amazing service and high-quality food and drinks.
We chose the elevated drinks package, and the bubbles were flowing all day and the wines with dinner were gorgeous!

Entertainment
We had a string quartet at the ceremony for a traditional feel, then The Epics played an acoustic set during the drinks reception and as a band in the evening. One of Dan’s groomsmen did a surprise DJ set, and the dance floor was full all night!
Special Touches
We had an Audio Guest Book, which was absolutely hilarious and I’d really recommend it.

The Best Bit
Dancing the night away with my new husband!
Honeymoon
After the wedding, we went straight to Middleton Lodge for three nights to relax, then to The Maldives the following January. It was perfect for a honeymoon.

Top Tip
The most important thing is getting yourself in a relaxed headspace on the morning of the wedding so that you feel present and enjoy yourself. I got up 90 minutes before I needed to and enjoyed a long shower and a coffee while watching Friends. The perfect way to start the day!
