We’ve just concluded an absolutely fabulous month of #AprilINSPO here at Brides Up North HQ, hosting our branded events across three regions. We’ve met so many beautiful brides and gorgeous grooms and packed venue upon venue full of sensational styling inspiration. All eyes in the office are firmly on May now, and our epic wedding festival events, WEDSTOCK’16 in Yorkshire and WEDSTIVAL’16 in Cheshire, that will round off what’s been a stunning season. totem tipi
are running on Saturday 30th April at County Hall, Northallerton, DL7 8AE from 11am – 3pm.Totem Tipi was born in 2015 and was developed by the Connecting Youth Culture (CYC) team which is part of North Yorkshire County Council. Totem is a business with a social purpose and proceeds from Totem feedback into the delivery of vital services across North Yorkshire.

Our event tipis are Stratus 72 tipis, also known as a Kata tipi or Giant hat. The stratus 72 is based on a traditional Scandinavian design. Due to their unique interlocking features, the kata tipis make stunning intimate venues for a small wedding party or can be joined together to create larger scale structures to cater for the largest of wedding parties. The structures are built to withstand harsh weathers. With strong sustainable timbers and waterproof fabrics, we can cater for all events in all seasons. So… whether you want to create a summer celebration with the sides up, or you fancy a winter wonderland with an open fire pit, indoors heaters and warm blankets then the tents can accommodate all ideas, seasons and tastes!
As well as launching Totem Tipi‘s lovely tipi tents, local wedding suppliers will be at the event to showcase a range of products, including cake decorators, videographers, photographers, bridal gowns and more.
Totem will also be using the event to kickstart their new competition: Win A Tipi Wedding. The free wedding giveaway will include the use of 2 kata tipis, flooring, tables and benches for up to 80 guests, fire pit and a dance floor.
