Let’s meet the lady behind the magic!

.

What is your background?

.

I have been a make up artist and skin care therapist for 15 years! I wanted to offer a quality service to customers with quality products! I qualified as a beauty therapist first and then went more into make up artistry about six years ago! Since qualifying all those years ago I have completed nearly 80 other courses in beauty therapy and make up. I believe you can never have enough knowledge.
.

.

How did Black and Mixed Skin.com begin?
.
I started the business because I was finding it really difficult to get quality brands for darker skins. I started to visit the Beauty Shows in America and found that there was so much more on offer. It was a slow process to start it up because I wanted to try and test every single product to give it my seal of approval.

What are your top three bridal makeup tips?
.

Use a primer to fix the foundation in place
.

Colour your lips in with a matching lip pencil before applying lipstick or gloss so that colour is still there if it comes off.

.
Use a creamy concealer for a softer, more natural look on blemishes.

.

.

What are your top three bridal makeup no-nos?
.

Avoid lip gloss if you’re wearing your hair down on a windy day. Hair will stick to lips.
.

Don’t apply too much shimmer to eyelids it appears as white dots in photographs.

.

Too much bronzer can give your skin a dirty look if its orange based.

.

.
Which of your makeup products would you say are must-haves for a bride on her wedding day and why?

.

Youngblood Mineral primer. It’s a great product and lets skin breathe. It evens out the skin and helps foundation to last longer.
.
Blinc Mascara. Once applied, the tubes bind to your lashes and cannot run, smudge, clump or flake, even if you cry or rub your eyes.

.
Youngblood Brow Artiste to get the perfect eyebrows. Eyebrows frame your face and define the eyes.

Do you sell any pamper products to help a bride relax before her big day?  Which would you particularly recommend and why?
.

Yes the bath soak by AmaZene is to die for! It smells great and always makes me fell relaxed.
