Secret Garden: A Real Engagement–Tom & Katy

Friend of the wedding blog Paul Joseph Photography sent me this gorgeous Real Engagement last week, and I couldn’t wait to share his summery submission with you.  Cola (with bespoke labels by the gorgeous I am Nat) and cakes (baked with love by Just Darling Cakes – and aren’t they just?)  in a summer garden with your love.  What could be better?

Paul Joseph Photography explains it all: So the lovely couple in the photographs are Tom and Katy, and the shoot location is Utopia and surrounding areas which are part of the Broughton Hall estate near Skipton, North Yorkshire.

The couple choose this location because its also where they are having their wedding reception, another reason for choosing here was because the location is very fitting for the dash of Alice in Wonderland theming within the shoot.

The shoot went superbly: we already had developed a great friendship with Tom and Katy over the months leading up to the shoot with our little "How are the plans coming along" chats.  On the day we started off the shoot very simple and from there we added in some fun and a whole heap of love to get some great shots.

Tom and Katy were willing to do anything for the shots we got like entering the derelict building and sitting on a darkened room floor.

They get married on the 24th September 2011 at Oakworth Church followed by the reception at Utopia.
