Bridal Blog GIVEAWAY – Join the Northern Revolution!

Julia Smith

.

I have that “back to school” feeling.  Back to traffic jams in the morning, shorter days and longer nights, granted, but also back to kicking up the autumn leaves, cosy nights in, sparkly winter weddings, cashmere sweaters, bonfires, piping hot soup, better telly and new boots.

.

Ok, hands up.  I like winter better than summer.  I’m sorry!  I’m sorry! Yes it may be cold and dark, but it includes Christmas, ski holidays and my birthday.  I’m sold.  Plus, for me, September has also always felt like a fresh start.  A new term, a new academic year, new pens and pencils, even a new job…

.

To celebrate my new career as a , this week’s Brides Up North Tweet Up networking events and the whole “back to school” vibe in general, I have a fun bridal blog giveaway for you at the start of this new week.  Every new season needs a fabulous new bag, doesn’t it?

.

That’s what I tell my husband, anyway.

.

So over to the amazing Helen, from What A Do Weddings, with whose help I hope I have produced something a little bit special, to introduce today’s wedding blog giveaway…

Helen from What A Do Weddings says: I was so excited when Julia suggested collaborating on a bag design to be used as a giveaway for her readers and at her Brides Up North Tweet Up networking events. Ideas don’t usually come this quick but as soon as she mentioned the line “Join the Northern Revolution!” I knew exactly what to do (but not if she would like it).

I had just recently seen the Rock the Royal Wedding photo shoot by the amazing Assassynation and
was blown away by the shots.  The shots were iconic and of Julia herself – perfect to be manipulated into a revolution style graphic. The icing on the cake was the idea of having her proudly punching a bouquet into the air.

.

So it was all there thanks to Assassynation for allowing me to use her photograph, all I had to do was find Julia a new arm and bouquet and with a little photo shop magic – voila!

.

I must admit I was a little nervous showing Julia but she loved it. Nice one! And here they are. Proper little works of art, all hand pulled twice by myself. No two are quite the same (the nature of screen printing) but that makes them one offs.
