Today, it’s time for the main event. Submitted by the girls at Scarlett Weddings, Lorraine and Colin’s wedding day is a shoes shined, pipes at the ready, decorated affair. As you are all fully aware by now, I’m a sucker for a man in uniform. If that uniform happens to be a kilt… well, all the better!

Lucky, lucky Lorraine…who isn’t looking half gorgeous herself! Enjoy…

Let’s hear from the ladies at Scarlett Weddings: After photographing Lorraine & Colin’s engagement shoot, we were really looking forward to their English & Scottish themed wedding in Yorkshire where Colin is based with the RAF – we knew it was going to be a fun filled day!

We met up with Lorraine and her family in Thirsk and Colin in nearby Boroughbridge, Lorraine was feeling quite nervous whilst Colin was busy adding some special touches to the church, a beautiful ancient chapel called All Saints in Kirby Hill. Colin’s brother Billy was the piper for day and the best man, he couldn’t do enough to help and we gained a friend.

Everything ran smoothly and even when the rain replaced the sun, everyone still had a great time which continued into the evening after we enjoyed a few very entertaining speeches!

The whisky flowed in the bar, the dance floor filled and everyone had fun leaving messages on our chalkboard hearts. It truly was a fantastic day and we only tore ourselves away at around 11pm!
