What with yesterday’s glittery Miu Miu Friday Fabulous eye candy, and this morning’s shoe porn, you would think that this was a shoe blog rather than a wedding blog wouldn’t you? Obviously, we know better (just check out all these amazing Real Weddings for proof), but I’m just saying, Heels Up North has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it?

My love affair with Rachel Simpson Shoes and in particular Marilyn, pictured above, began at The British Bridal Exhibition in Harrogate, a bridal trade show where – armed with Press pass – I was free to roam like a kid in a sweet shop. I met the lovely Rachel in the Designer Room ( a wedding blogger’s paradise) and spent an age admiring her gorgeous collection.

The passion intensified when I recently spent a day playing Saturday Girl at The White Room Sheffield (full blog post to come shortly) and could not keep my eyes off the Rachel Simpson Shoes. Did you know they even have built in Party Feet so that you can dance the night away? I kid you not. I need these babies in my life.
