What are you up to tonight? I’ll be at my Mum’s enjoying some home cooked food, a lovely bubble bath and some telly. Staying in is the new going out.
.
What better way to celebrate a cosy night by the fire than with a lovely little engagement shoot sent to me by Brides Up North Featured Supplier and awesome photographer Jaye from Tux & Tales Photography.

Happy days.

Let’s hear from Real Bride-To-Be Claire: Don proposed to me at home on the 18 January 2009, it was definitely a surprise as I was upset and looking my worst when he asked me to marry him. Not how I’d imagined it! But it was lovely and just right! We will be getting married at St Catherine’s Church, Barmby Moor, York on Saturday 18 August 2012. This will be followed by afternoon tea, fun and dancing at Barmbyfield Barn, Barmby Moor.

We met in a nightclub in 2004, my best friend had been set up on a blind date –she took me with her for support and her date took his friend (Don), we hit it off and they didn’t! Hee hee! After I’d met Don that night I said to my best friend that I would end up marrying him. Then I realised we hadn’t exchanged numbers and so we didn’t meet up again until the following January when Don managed to get hold of my mobile number, aww!

Don is the most caring and kindest person I have ever met and the best daddy in the world. I love the fact that he is the complete opposite to me and his smile, his smile is amazing!
.
Don says: Claire is outgoing, fun, confident and a lovely mum and my best friend, even though we are chalk and cheese – apart from our joint obsession of checking that everything is switched off when we leave the house she compliments me… and she’s gorgeous which always helps!

We looked at a range of websites, when we came across Tux & Tales Photography; we loved the images and how bright they were. We approached Jaye and Matt and we were invited to have a free Engagement shoot. We thought this would be a great way to see what our pictures would turn out like before we committed to paying for our wedding photos. Also we’ve never done anything like this before, so it’s good practice too.

We had an amazing time on the shoot, it was great. We were very nervous but Jaye and Matt were lovely. We had our daughter Freya with us too and the whole shoot was relaxed and fun. We couldn’t believe the outcome –the photos are gorgeous we are extremely pleased. It has really put us at ease now for the wedding. Originally we weren’t going to have a photographer as our wedding is informal but I’m so glad we changed our minds.
