I’m in recovery mode today after a very busy Brides Up North Wedding Exclusive at The Mansion in Leeds yesterday! It was another record turnout (yippee!) and the day was busy right up to 4pm – one late coming bride and groom made a mad ten minute dash around the venue, soaking up all the gorgeousness! The feedback from both exhibitors and visiting brides has really wowed me, and some photos from the day and more from behind the scenes will be coming soon in a special post.

I can’t rest on my laurels for long though, as next weekend sees my biggest event yet – The Brides Up North Super Showcase at Ramside Hall Hotel, Durham. We now have up to 100 exhibitors (I told you it was big!) attending in another complete sell out. With two glitzy professional fashion shows and 12 bridal fashion boutiques in attendance its going to be wedding inspiration central.

I’m in full event planning mode, and that plus a special little styled shoot and some jaw dropping features here on the site means that its going to be a busy week!

I almost forgot to mention our uber cool Battle of The Wedding Bands evening with AMV Live Music at As You Like It Jesmond on Thursday 8th March too. Phew… I’ll be ready for a cocktail by then, let me tell you! Click here to find out more.

I’ve also got one helluva fabulous competition coming up for you brides to be very very soon, so watch this space. Speaking of fabulous giveaways, this weekend I had an email from one very delighted lady, who had won herself a wedding dress worth £1,500 with Brides Up North and The Harrogate Wedding Lounge, in a competition we ran before Christmas. Lucky Katie was absolutely over the moon – “You’ve made my year!”– and we’ll be hearing more from her soon on the pages of the wedding blog.

I’ve got a few more surprises up my sleeve too both for the pages of the blog and in relation to the Brides Up North events calendar, so keep reading. Visits to the blog (and subscriptions to my newsletter) are at an all time high at the moment and I’m so excited to see the Northern Revolution rumbling on!
