Kelcie makes bridal hair combs and alice bands by hand using vintage collectables sourced from around the World. She also has a bespoke service – you might have an old piece of jewellery hiding away at home that you would like to incorporate on your day – and also a ‘Something New’ collection, handmade using beads, sparkles, pearls and collectable treats. Vintage jewellery, a handmade jewellery range and evening bags are also available online. All in all, well worth a rummage!

Kelcie, of By Kelcie, says: I’ve always had a love of making things, I love jewellery as all girls do. My Husband, Andrew Scott Clarke is a Wedding photographer so I sort of put the two together and here I am.

My lines of jewellery and collections have grown and expanded as I’ve gone along. I started out just using vintage finds to create my hair pieces, the ‘Something Old’ collection, but as I’ve grown I’ve sourced collectables worldwide – new and vintage – and created the ‘Something New’ collection too.

My eyes started to wander whilst looking for thing to take apart and then the ‘Vintage’ collection was born: beautiful old pieces of jewellery and handbags were jumping out at me that were just too lovely not to seen and used. Pieces of yester year that deserve to sparkle on someone’s special day.

The ‘By Kelcie’ collection was another happy accident. I was searching the web, as you do (!) and stumbled across jewellery findings that looked very much like the ones in my logo. This collection is for everyday wear, bridesmaids or a beautiful gift.

At the moment my shop is purely online, although I may be spotted at the odd wedding fair! I do offer a bespoke service, which is available on request for those brides who may have an old piece of jewellery they wish to incorporate into a hair piece.

Mothers of the bride and bridesmaids all have to look glam too! There’s plenty of sparkly treats suitable for mums and maids!

My website has been carefully developed to be easy to use for a pleasant shopping experience. Pieces from the ‘Something New’ collection and ‘Something Old’ collection unless stated ‘made to order’ are all one-off hand made pieces. I don’t have any personal favourites, each piece I buy jumps out at me so I guess they’re all my favourites. It’s hard not to get emotionally attached when you’ve brought something back to life again.
