Will our ceremony have the WOW factor it deserves?

tracey says:

Whilst reciting your vows and committing yourselves to each other forever is of course a big deal and will be a beautiful moment for you and your nearest and dearest, you may want to consider augmenting such a special moment with entertainment. A popular choice for 2016 weddings is to book a contemporary acoustic guitarist and singer to perform as you walk down the aisle, during the signing of the register and ideally, you can request a fun, upbeat song for when you and your guests leave – this will really set the tone for the rest of the day and get everyone into the party spirit.

Who will look after our guests during the drinks reception?
The drinks reception is usually when your photographer will whisk you away to get those all-important shots for the wedding album. That’s great for you guys and the wedding party, but your guests are usually left alone and very often hungry during so it’s a good idea to keep them amused. Many brides and grooms are choosing to book a caricaturist for this part of the day as not only does it provide for a great memento for your guests but it is also very entertaining for the crowd that gather to watch. Other popular choices during this time are walkabout acts such as lookalikes (imagine the surprise on your guests’ faces when David Beckham or Del Boy crashes the wedding), or living trees or statues, which create a real buzz and great photo opportunities.

Our guests don’t know each other, how can we be sure that they will get along?

It’s inevitable at a wedding that many guests will never have met before and the worry is that it can create a stilted atmosphere or awkward silences, especially during the wedding breakfast. Well-placed entertainment will help break the ice and really help lighten the atmosphere by putting your guests at ease. During the wedding breakfast, a magician working his way around the tables will provide a great talking point for your guests.

We worry about an empty dance floor – how can I make sure this doesn’t happen?

First of all, if you have created a fun, lighted hearted atmosphere throughout the day, your guests will be feeling relaxed and at ease so are likely to be ready to throw some shapes anyway. If you are still worried though, booking a live, energetic band is a sure fire way to banish any weeds of the tumble variety and is guaranteed to get even Granny on the dance floor!
