Dramatic yet dreamy, this stunning dance inspired bridal shoot may just have you wanting to swap those big day Jimmy Choos for a pair of pretty ballet pumps and pirouette your way up the aisle.
Emitting romance and passion, the powerful shots are captured at a new venue to the Lincolnshire wedding scene that is set to launch this month, the Leadenham Estate. Boasting an impressive Georgian manor house dating back to the 18th Century and today owned by the Reeve family, the unique venue offers grandeur, history and glamour all enveloped within acres of rolling park and farmland.
Through this shoot, coordinated by freelance wedding planner, Amy Lauren Weddings, couples can admire the extraordinary beauty of the main house, complete with statement staircase, feature fireplaces, elegant chandeliers and fine antiques. Furthermore, the Leadenham Estate will also provide the option for outdoor celebrations via a purposefully renovated barn and its surrounding idyllic grounds.
Interested to know more? Well, beyond details of the shoot below, Leadenham Estate will be launching to brides- and grooms-to-be this Sunday, 26th April, with a virtual wedding fair to showcase some of the suppliers that the venue will be working with closely in the future. The Leadenham team will also be opening their diaries to couples and hope to invite guests for show rounds as soon as possible (in line with Government COVID-19 guidance).
So, in the meantime, flex those fingers, point those toes and prepare to absorb the pretty…

INSPIRATION
The team say: The shoot was ballet inspired. Amy, of Amy Lauren Weddings, wanted to exaggerate the elegance, royalty and glamour of the house with the drama, sophistication and beauty of this form of dance and art.
SETTING
Leadenham House was the perfect location for the shoot due to its sophisticated historic charm. Amy specifically designed the ballet shoot around the venue in order to best showcase the house, with all its beauty and style.
Within the venue’s grounds meanwhile are the Palladian style stables, set to house a purposely renovated barn, entered via the clock tower in the centre of the stable quad. The immense grounds surrounding the house, and into the park are the ideal location for an outdoor wedding celebration under the cover of a marquee or tipi.
ATTIRE
The dresses featured, provided by Champagne & Lace Bridal Wear, were chosen to showcase two differing designs and styles. The silver ‘Tiffany’s Illusion Prom Victoria’ was the perfect dress for jumps and pirouettes; with a full net skirt and V-neck bodice and adorned with intricate glass and bead embellishments. The second, the ivory ‘Romantic Ezra’ offered a truly elegant and sophisticated design; the sheath style minimalistic dress in flowing chiffon fabric, complete with delicate lace and beaded waistline, V-back and small flowing train which complemented the grace of our ballerina.
The dresses were paired with silver intricate jewellery by Cast & Found, a brand that casts meaningful pieces of nature into custom gold and silver jewellery; which worked perfectly with this shoot and the ethos of Leadenham House, preserving lasting memories and traditional heritage.
BEAUTY
We wanted to allow our ballerina’s natural beauty to shine and so LC Makeup Artistry beautifully complemented her eye and hair colour with natural tones, a soft eye shimmer and a simple lash. The skin was enhanced with a soft glow and nude pink tones, along with pink lips to complement. This makeup could be transferable to all brides adjusting accordingly to the skin tone and eye colour.
Hannah Blink Hair Stylist executed the perfect traditional ballerina hair style, a high bun, whilst adding body and volume through soft gentle curls.
STYLING
We kept the styling subtle as we were keen to focus on opulence, beauty, charm and sophistication of the house itself. As such, added details came in the form of soft candles, whimsical foliage and romantic white Roses to enhance the dramatic setting that Leadenham House provides. The gorgeous florals were provided by FloweryT whilst the other styling elements were taken care of by The Blissful Bride.
RESULTS
The shoot was full of glamour, fun and enthusiasm. Highlights of the day included the very beautiful pirouettes in the drawing room and by the fireplace in the hall.
Prior to this shoot Leadenham House had only ever opened its doors to a styled shoot once before back in 2012, making this creative project in such magnificent spaces feel all the more special.
The photos captured here by Kyle Baxter truly showcase the beauty of the house and offers an insight into what an amazing setting this new venue can provide to brides and grooms.
Launching the Leadenham Estate this Sunday, 26th April, couples can join us for our virtual wedding fair between the 11am and 2pm, via our website, or alternatively on our Facebook or Instagram feeds.
