‘Pretty in pink’ has never been more accurate than with this sweet setup. With a gorgeous concept and florals by the talented Kellie, of Yorkshire-based florist studio Kellie’s Flowers (and an UNVEILED Network member), we’re bringing you a blooming big bunch of incredible inspiration for your big day.
Bright and cheerful, girly but with edge, Kellie hasn’t played it safe with pastels this time. She and her team of fellow suppliers have let their creativity run wild and, together, have pulled off an incredible styled shoot with impact.
Glorious gold provides the perfect accent and keeps everything modern and on-trend. And to stop it falling into the trap of being too fluffy and traditional, they’ve got an amazing bespoke pink leather jacket thrown over the Elizabeth Kate Bridal gown, bringing the attitude!
Let the luxurious tablescape scattered with petals inspire you, keep an eye out for the beautiful stationery and the wax seals, and get your pinning fingers at the ready…

INSPIRATION
Kellie says: I’ve always been drawn to bright colours and particularly pink, but like many of my couples, the temptation to shy away and play safe with more paler and muted colour palettes for their weddings often wins out. This styled shoot was my opportunity to show how pops of colour can provide the most fabulous tones for a wedding and, when combined with that bit of glam, can really make an impact.
LOCATION
Having provided florals for Hornington Manor in the past, I adored the rustic charm of the venue. The beautifully restored barn with reclaimed wood and stone, suspended chandeliers and fairy light wall made my heart sing and my imagination run wild. I particularly fell for the combination of the Grade II listed Manor House and barn, as their combination of classic historical features and rustic charm was reflected in the complementary contrasts of my theme: fun and funky with that glamorous edge.
STYLING
I wanted to use a combination of colours that would get your heart racing. Colours that would pop with every glance and provide a divine palette to reflect the beauty of this stunning venue. The bridal flowers needed to be bright, but not too overpowering , so I teamed them with complimentary tones of pale peach and wine, and added a champagne and raspberry ribbon combination for a touch of elegance. The way they are captured flowing in the breeze in these shots is just mesmerising. I continued the colour palette into the table flowers with raspberry pink and pale peach roses arranged in gold urns. Pink pampas grass and larkspur were used for added height and rustic appeal in the floor pieces, but for me the most important part of these particular designs was their versatility. Couples are keen to get the most from their wedding florals, and rightly so, so I wanted to show how statement pieces could be used in varying places throughout the day, from the initial welcome area to the ceremony and table decorations. It was important to show how the right design can have multiple uses.
The table styling was designed to accentuate the glamour of the theme with tall tapered candles for romantic light, soft chiffon table runners and napkins and gold charger plates and accessories adding impact and warmth. Ceremony arches and display areas are becoming increasingly popular. Why have one when you can have two?! Whether it’s to provide a framing archway for the aisle or the perfect selfie setup, we teamed florals with Howards Events funky balloon combinations and drapes to create completely different looks ensuring both reflected varying elements of the theme.
The wonderful Ivy Alice Stationery handcrafted and designed a range of calligraphy styled invitation sets, menus, names plates and table numbers embellished with a simple, yet modern take on floral design and edged with beautiful gold leaf. The ultimate finishing touch was the addition of hand crafted wax seals in a luxurious rose gold. Contemporary acrylic signage was also added to the welcoming area with florals and candlelight to create the perfect compliment to the aisle.
The cakes were simply divine. A collection of the best homemade desserts, from macaroons to popsicles, accompanied a show stopping four-tier cake with fresh flowers, gold leaf and pink embellishment. A whole tier devoted to the colour combination of the theme with confetti accompaniment in a clear acrylic shell. The cake tables we created with floral and balloon arches were the perfect centrepieces for the shoot and really showcased Storeybook’s opulent, colourful and contemporary designs.
You can’t have the fun factor without the confetti shot, so it just had to be Adam Apple Confetti. They specialise in biodegradable confetti and mixed the perfect combination of dried petals expertly selected from my mood board. Shared live on social media, watching the selection and mixing process was fabulous and receiving the confetti in the post, even better! We featured it in several areas to provide colour and continuity.
ATTIRE
Elizabeth Kate Bridal provided three dresses, all with their own beautiful uniqueness. A fitted gown with stunning lace detail for that statement look. A flowing gown that was just so pretty and romantic, a low neck-line and enchanting fabric was just sublime and perfect to soften the edgy look when combined with the leather jacket. And for the element of sophistication, a beautiful elegant gown with exquisite lace embellishment. All three looks were perfect for the modern bride and for flaunting the possibility of embracing individuality, whilst maintaining elegance and glamour.
How can you have a fun and funky shoot without the addition of a leather jacket? It had to be done and made the perfect finishing touch to our bride. A gorgeous pale pink jacket with hand painted embellishment, ‘Crazy in love’, was provided by the fabulous Rock Paper Nib.
BEAUTY
Fresh, funky, yet timelessly classic needed to be the brief for the bridal beauty and Chrys Chapman had it nailed. Soft, floaty curls and relaxed hair styling was perfect for creating a romantic and understated glamour look and reflected the style of the shoot perfectly. Not every bride imagines bright pink lipstick on their wedding day, but oh my does it pack a punch in these shots!
The shoot needed to be fun and modern, but with a cool edge and I just knew that Glorious by Heidi could help me accomplish that with beautiful accessories. Combining unique design with contemporary materials and colour, the headpiece and earrings were just perfect for providing instant impact. Every shot oozes sophisticated fun whilst bringing an element of modern luxury, perfect for enhancing our theme.
RESULTS
The shoot was a dream, with several suppliers from the UNVEILED Network coming together to bring my vision to life. Every element was just perfect and to see my ideas being realised was just divine. Absolutely beautiful images by Kayleigh Ann Photography have captured the essence of the shoot with raspberry pinks and neon lighting being prevalent throughout. The warm tones within the photography provide a decadence and help establish the vibe I was striving for. I was also keen to capture the mood of the shoot through video and invited Matthew Laraway whose videography skills are insane. His behind-the-scenes footage is a joy to watch and provides memories of not only fabulous moments in time, but also the fresh vibrancy of the day.
This was my first ever styled shoot and, without the UNVEILED Network, it wouldn’t have been possible! I’m absolutely thrilled, seeing my vision come to life and I hope that it can help couples to visualise a colourful wedding, without feeling that they need to compromise on beauty. We have a very busy year ahead with lots of rescheduled weddings and new bookings. I’m looking forward to providing beautiful bespoke florals for all my happy couples and a future beyond Covid.
