Hannah from Hannah Rachael Weddings decided she wanted to showcase the versatility of one of her favourite colour palettes in a styled shoot to be truly inspired by. Couples-to-be, get your pinning fingers at the ready.
Thief Hall in Northallerton is a blank canvas of a venue in the heart of Yorkshire and UNVEILED Network Member Hannah Rachael Weddings is a wedding planner with an impeccable attention to detail, love for the local area and a passion for the wedding industry. During times like these, a pairing like this is a match made in heaven.
Blush pink tones easily add a feminine and romantic look to any celebration but, done right, it can be a very grown up palette. Hannah and her fellow suppliers (many of whom are UNVEILED Network Members too!) have nailed the aesthetic, creating a vision in soft tones and offering something that would work for any location and almost any time of the year.
Sound like your style? We’ve got your pretty pink inspo for all things cake, florals, stationery and venue styling. Over to you, Hannah!

INSPIRATION
Hannah says: When considering the concept for this shoot, I was heavily influenced by the current global impact on the wedding industry. I wanted to showcase how smaller, more intimate weddings were providing hope and optimism to so many couples desperate to declare their love for one another.
I focused on encapsulating how romantic, personal and elegant an imitate summer wedding could be and how a countryside setting could provide the perfect escapism.
LOCATION
It was important to me that the shoot reflected the beautiful Yorkshire countryside and how an outdoor setting really can bring to life an intimate wedding. Thief Hall provided the perfect backdrop, based in the heart of North Yorkshire and surrounded by nothing but beautiful fields. It really is a stunning location to get married in. Jess and the team at Thief Hall are brilliant and have a ‘no rules’ approach, which really meant nothing was out of bounds.
STYLING
The whole aesthetic was based upon creating an opulent blush and flower filled celebration, with florals from Charlotte’s Floral Design and QUBE Events. With texture, subtle detailing and layering providing a strong focus throughout. It was important to me that every detail was refined, considered and sophisticated in order to not detract from the delicate tonal blush palette. I focused on capturing the effortless beauty of love and how natural it forms and grows. It was paramount that every detail, from the flowers to the cutlery and crockery echoed this.
The two tier cake from Grace Emily Cakes, which was also accompanied by three mini cakes, provided a modern twist on a traditional blush cake and looked divine. Grace adorned each with sugar roses and made sure each petal moved with the natural shape of the tiers. Every element of the cakes was considered; each cake varied in colour slightly which helped marry it with the fresh flower’s arrangements, stationary and overall tablescape.
Yasmin (of Ivy Alice Stationery) did a beautiful job of translating the colour palette into the stationery by layering all four tones into a delicate fanned menu card. This was teamed up with singular place names adorned with a simple calligraphy style font in soft brown, which complimented the soft pink tones. Yasmin did a lovely job of showcasing the importance of wedding stationery and how it can be subtly made to match your theme. Emphasising how a simplistic design can go a long way to adding a touch of luxury to any table décor.
RESULTS
It was great to work with such an enthusiastic and creative team. Every supplier translated the brief to perfection and was just such a joy to work with. The team was also full of suppliers I’ve not worked with before, so that was exciting too. I love the buzz of a shoot day and seeing everyone working away and helping each other, there is just something so brilliant about that kind of collaboration.
It rained on and off all day long which did make it quite challenging at points to capture the feel and essence of the shoot, but that’s the great British weather for you. It also shows just how important it is for couples to have a wet weather option too!
Overall, I do feel we did a great job of capturing just how beautifully romantic an intimate wedding can be, no matter why or when you choose to have one. Blush will also always go down as one of my all-time favourite colour palettes and I hope we showcased just how versatile it can be.
