Glam Squad. A Pretty Pink Wedding Styled Shoot at Saltmarshe Hall

Sarah Symonds

Inspo for the fashion-forward bride and groom today as we head to the gorgeous Saltmarshe Hall in East Yorkshire for a shoot that packs a pretty pink wedding punch – and we’re not just talking about the lovely floral cocktails!

Luxe by Minihaha & Co (emphasis on the ‘Co’ today!) has created the perfect inspirational shoot for those looking for something a little extra. The attention to detail displayed here is truly second to none.

We’re bringing you an impeccably bold use of colour, with a palette of red, black and accents of gold. The headpiece looks incredible with the off-the-shoulder gown and that tiara paired with the long-sleeved number is just perfection. Not to mention, this shoot features a bevvy of babes playing the roles of multiple brides and ‘maids. All the trappings of an amazing bride squad, right there. We love the getting ready shots and the frolics and high jinks in the pool ahead of the main event!

The fun had by everyone involved in the shoot is evident in the resulting images and, special mention: we just have to talk about the food! We love cake as much as the next person but these look insane! From macarons to dainty tarts and flower topped cocktails, we’re obsessed with this spread and the resulting tablescape is beyond inspiring.

CONCEPT

Minihaha says: I styled a Dolce & Gabbana inspired editorial shoot with a team of talented industry creatives. I wanted the styled shoot to replicate love and romance. Weddings are about personalisation and creativity conflated, and a glamorous and opulent tablescape complimented the venue seamlessly.

I wanted to bring the glamour by tying in subtle French inspiration and opulent styling. My design goal was to blend my love for modern French romance with an appreciation of high fashion.

LOCATION

For a venue, I knew instantly there was no other choice than Saltmarshe Hall. It was the perfect venue to host this shoot. They have stunning gardens and the entire property is full of those meticulous details that I cherish as a planner and stylist, and it played perfectly into the inspiration for the styled shoot. We set up a beautiful poolside tablescape as a way to showcase a fun type of bridal shower, as well as a gorgeous indoor table for the evening soiree.

STYLING

I was looking for spectacle and fabulosity so we used a range of bright and bold colours including red and black with a hint of gold, as well as metallics as an added touch to create something awe inspiring for brides to be.

ATTIRE

With our fashion-forward bride in mind, we were going for something bold and adventurous. We had four ultra cool, avant-garde wedding dresses that we think will inspire brides on their wedding dress search.

BEAUTY

We wanted the shoot to be a whole lot of fun. We were a lot more playful with the accessories both in the hair and on the face. We kept the overall finish natural and simple but with a pop of fun through playing with interesting lip colours to suit the fashion-forward bride.

RESULTS

The shoot was magical! It was such a long day but a whole lot of fun!
