We’re so obsessed with this styled shoot, incorporating a bespoke style and a palette of classic, masculine navy contrasted with soft, feminine blush tones and rose gold, set against the perfect backdrop of the beautiful old West Tower in Lancashire.
For today’s shoot, both the concept and cake are the work of the talented and lovely UNVEILED Network Member Elizabeth Anna Cake Design. Based in Burscough, Sue offers beautiful, elegant wedding cakes and sweet treats to couples across Lancashire, Cheshire and Merseyside. Today she’s really put her skills and creative eye to good use and arranged a charming wedding setup at this ‘blank canvas’ venue where anything goes.
Keeping things rustic with the willow arch, florals and furniture, this is a very pretty and accessible style, but details such as the distinctive stationery for the shoot add a more bold and contemporary edge, and the lollipop favours are perfect for couples with a sweet tooth. There’s a little something here for everyone!
Let’s catch up with Sue to find out how it all went down on the day…

CONCEPT
Sue says: The purpose of the shoot was to show how weddings can really be tailored and don’t have to follow the rules. The shoot – captured beautifully by Rachel Clarke Wedding Photography and filmed by the fabulous Charlene at Love Gets Sweeter (another UNVEILED Network Member) brought together both an elegant and rustic style with a classic colour palette of navy and blush pink.
LOCATION
West Tower is a beautiful private house set in rural Lancashire with beautiful grounds and stunning views. With lots of natural features, it is also the perfect blank canvas for couples to ‘make their own’ and is dedicated entirely to weddings.
STYLING
Our stylist for the day was Sweetpea & Ivy, based in Upton. They’re one of the North West’s leading wedding and event décor specialising in vintage and rustic styles. Sweetpea & Ivy used natural woods and lots of candles to create a warm, elegant rustic ambience. The large balloon displays added an element of fun to the shoot. The florist was Aspen and Ivy from Chorley, West Lancashire.
Cheshire-based Jellypress create wedding and life event stationery with both their House Collection and bespoke design service. The stationery for our shoot was a contemporary design which was complemented perfectly by the edible wedding favours. A flower-filled acrylic plinth providing the seating plan demonstrating that there are so many options when designing your stationery. Based in Tunbridge Wells but shipping worldwide, Willow and Boo create beautiful and unique lollipops that will perfectly complement your wedding style and colours, and are a unique and delicious wedding favour for guests. The cake – by Elizabeth Anna Cake Design, of course – was an elegant two tier design featuring a floating tier decorated with delicate sugar flowers and luxurious gold leaf detailing.

RESULTS
The shoot ran so smoothly on the day and we were blessed with gorgeous sunny skies, which allowed the opportunity for lots of beautiful shots outdoors.
Our aim was to achieve a rustic elegance and we achieved that, with a mix of traditional such as the vintage car and more rustic touches such as the willow arch and rustic table and chairs.
