Greenhouse Glam. A Styled Wedding Fashion Shoot in Yorkshire

Sarah Symonds

This shoot just oozes sexy glam vibes! When photographer Natalie Hamilton saw the dilapidated and overgrown ‘before’ of Limelight Wedding Emporium’s new venue, she was very into it by all accounts. She knew there had to be a shoot done in all its abandoned glory and we reckon the end results are stun-ning!

As a change from her usual romantic and timeless style, Natalie and her team of fellow industry suppliers have created something edgy and cool that really focuses on the work of a bride’s glam squad – which in this case includes the model herself! Triple-threat model Jade Lauren was playing bride for the cameras, while also being a successful content creator, influencer and professional makeup artist. Phew!

We love the ultra-glamorous feel, the slick snaps in the amazing car, the details in the simple yet wild florals and the jewelled accessories that bring the whole thing together for the close ups. Plus, a special cameo appearance from Gobi, the adorable Limelight cat!

Concept

Natalie says: Grunge meets glamour in this abandoned greenhouse. We just had to do a wedding photoshoot in the overgrown shrubbery before it underwent a complete renovation.

UNVEILED Network Member Limelight Wedding Emporium are a family run mother-daughter styling and creative duo based in York offering statement backdrops, tablescapes, classic cars and more. They are also currently undergoing a renovation for their new hub which, once finished, will be a fabulous setting to showcase their beautiful stock!

As we were working with Limelight Wedding Emporium, no shoot would be complete without one of their beautiful classic cars. The car of choice this time had to be the Jag with the red leather seats.

Jade Lauren, our instagram influencer, content creator and MUA modelled for us with the queen of glam MUA Glow By Chloe Gibbons creating her signature makeup look.

Location

As mentioned, the Limelight team have recently purchased the space with a view to completely renovating it into the Emporium Of Dreams, to showcase their incredible wedding stock to their clients. However, when Bev sent me a photo of it in its current condition, I just knew we had to do a shoot while it was still in all its untouched wild beauty.

Styling

Wanting to run with the wild, minimalistic theme, Emma from the Petal Studio in Leeds, created a beautiful wispy and wild bouquet with an almost foraged feel to it. This featured beautiful mini daffodils, sprigs of rosemary and all the foliage. It really did set the scene perfectly and give our model bride an ethereal vibe.

Attire

For the first part of this shoot, Stephanie of Stephanie Moran Couture had the perfect boho co-ord set from her bespoke range. We were just obsessed with the delicate and pretty lace.

Stephanie Moran Couture is based in Tadcaster and offers couture bridal design, alterations, complete bridal restyling and bespoke accessories.

Towards the end of the shoot we went a little more playful and Jade changed into a panelled satin mini dress from House Of Celeb with a show stopping off the shoulder ruffle neckline.

Beauty

For the hair, Jade styled a soft and natural wave for the first look and a sleek pony for the second look.

For the makeup, Glow by Chloe Gibbons created her signature stunning full glam look and, boy, does she live up to her name. Jade was glowing! Chloe kept the colour palette in a range of nudes, with a fierce winged eyeliner, fluttery cat eye lashes and a glossy lip to finish the look.

Results

The shoot was a dream! Jade really went with it and we created some beautiful shots. With it being quite late, by the second dress we were losing the light rapidly but it definitely set the pace to get as many beautiful snaps as we could.

One particular highlight was meeting the legend that is Gobi, Limelight’s cat who took a shine to the bouquet ribbon which had us all giggling!
