SIMPLY LOVE. A STYLED SHOOT AT RISE HALL

Sarah Symonds

Heading over to the gorgeous Georgian Rise Hall today in the East Riding of Yorkshire for a styled shoot to inspire and interest even the most reluctant of wedding planning couples!

With today’s styled shoot we’re giving you industry magic captured by the talented Lucy Dennis, complete with enormous blooms, set in one of our favourite Grade II listed stately homes. It’s all pretty in pink, if that’s your jam. Think very soft and feminine touches, crafting a cosy love bubble for the couple, surrounded by all the warmth and grandeur of the venue and its original architecture.

The story certainly takes centre stage here. We personally adore the intimacy of a sweetheart table, allowing the couple some stolen moments alone, turning a big celebration into a memorable date for two, while the whirlwind carries on around them.

Arguably, the star of the show is the amazing Evie Young pink chiffon gown, ultra girly and feminine, marking a cute contrast to the masculinity of the stark black and white tux adorning the smitten groom. Dashing back tie, tousled bridal hair down, nothing too overdone, just love. Simply love.

INSPIRATION

The inspiration behind this shoot was to celebrate love! The focus was on the couple and the sweetheart top table, making it all about them rather than all the fuss that a large wedding sometimes brings. This shoot features plenty of portraits of the couple and highlights points in the day for them to take in each other and appreciate this special time.

LOCATION

The location of the shoot was Rise Hall. Rise Hall is one of Yorkshire’s largest privately owned Grade II stately country house venues offering exclusivity in the East Riding of Yorkshire, a short distance from Beverley. It is Dine’s flagship venue and a perfect blend of exquisite interiors, traditional class and unique styling, all exclusively for you and your guests to enjoy for the perfect wedding!

The location was chosen for its grandeur and opulence, and it worked perfectly as it has a lot of hidden areas for couples and their photographers to make the most of on their wedding day.

STYLING

The styling by Belle Bijoux Events was based on a sweetheart style top table, with soft pink tones and pretty flowers to highlight the dress. The Raspberry Toast stationery also followed the pink theme, soft and elegant with touches of florals.

BelleBijoux Events are a creative team who have a passion for styling events. Established 2013, they’ve worked with some amazing clients and fellow suppliers in the industry. Whether your wedding or event is traditional, elegant or strikingly alternate; they have the props and know-how to guide and work with you to help you achieve your perfect day.

The cake by Grace Eva Cakes was a classic design, to highlight that quite often less is more! Grace Eva Cakes specialises in contemporary wedding cake design, bespoke celebration cakes, cupcakes and biscuit box sets.

Flower Style Beverley created the florals for the shoot. They’re a successful bespoke wedding and events florist run by mother and daughter team, Emma and Susan. They focus on using local, in season and sustainable materials wherever possible and were a perfect fit for our styled shoot.

ATTIRE

The dress featured was Sierra from Evie Young Bridal, courtesy of Elizabeth Lucas Bridal. The Beverley-based boutique chose a pale pink gown, with lots of layers and a soft train allowing the fabric to fall effortlessly. In fact the whole shoot colours were inspired by the dress!

We opted for a classic black tie suit for the groom to fit with the venue, the old school glamour and sweeping the bride off her feet!

Amore Headwear supplied accessories for the shoot. They’re an established and award-winning millinery and bridal accessory business who specialise in designing bespoke occasion hats and luxury bridal headwear, all hand made to each customer’s specification.

BEAUTY

Soft waves for the bride’s hair worked so well with the natural make up. Keeping the look fresh and clean to really let the dress sing!

Hair and MUA for the day was Sam Page, from Cottingham in North Lincolnshire. Sam’s a professional but relaxed makeup artist, million dollar platinum technician and lash tech. She’s also an UNVEILED Network member and Brides Up North approved supplier, making her a winner in our book!

RESULTS

The shoot went better than expected as the weather wasn’t on our side! Our highlight was how stunning the light was towards the end of the day, so we got some great shots of the  venue! Our aim was to celebrate love and we certainly achieved it!
