And what a fabulous time I have had today meeting brides and grooms, mothers, children, babies, sisters, aunties, best mates and bridesmaids! Right now, after a day on the stand, my little legs are killing me, so I’m off for a hot bubbly bath (and a glass of wine!). But first, let me tell you about the next event I’ll be attending as a guest of the UK Wedding Shows, this time at Newcastle Racecourse.

Now entering its sixth year at this venue, The UK Wedding Shows will be exhibiting in the Tattersall Suite on the 1st and 2nd October 2011. Newcastle Racecourse has over 120 years of heritage and the Branding House Grade II listed building is at the heart of High Gosforth Park set in 800 acres. This venue attracts exhibitors from across the North East and is popular with couples who can meet with sixty companies attending the show.

Linda Williams, MD at The UK Wedding Shows, has been organising wedding shows since 1985 and in the process has seen first hand how overwhelming it can be to make all of the wedding arrangements and find the products and services that you need. She decided to create shows that would have everything in one place, from entertainment to dresses with the aim to make it easier for brides to create their special day.

The UK Wedding Shows now organise exhibitions throughout the UK and cater for 1000’s of brides. The shows include exhibitors from all over the wedding industry and their award winning fashion shows feature the latest in stunning bridal gown designs, men’s formal hire and ladies occasion wear, with major high street names alongside individual designers. The UK Wedding Shows also make a conscious decision to employ models who do not all conform to the stereotype, believing that every bride can look amazing on her wedding day.
