I have recently had a couple of brides emailing me (not least one of my best friends Rachel, who gets married this Christmas) and chatting to me at the wedding shows I have been a guest at recently about inspiration for more relaxed bridal hair. Whether a twisty up-do or loose waves with a plaited twist, boho bridal hair is a pretty and feminine alternative to more structured styles. Lauren Conrad is the absolute queen of this look, but my faves have to be Blake’s pulled apart fish tail, Kristen’s perfectly tousled plaited up-do and California queen Jen’s blown out waves.

My advice – practice, practice, practice, or call in the professionals. Just the right side of perfect is a tricky look to nail. You’ll still need two hours and a whole can of Elnette, but the whole idea is to not look like you just walked out of a salon.
