We’re heading West this afternoon on the wedding blog with a red rose inspired bridal inspiration shoot. It seems that the famous North West rains held off long enough for this gorgeous set of images submitted by Brides Up North Featured Supplier Lee Brown Photography.

Sitting here in my now go-to blogging outfit of three pairs of socks, tartan pjs and a hoody with icicles dripping from my nose, those heady days of the October heat wave seem long ago! I’ll console myself by starting next week’s advent calendar chocolates early…

Lee explains how the shoot came together: The shoot was a collaboration with some new bridal vendors to create some stunning images for promotional use and as a bit of a pet project for us all. The shoot took place at the beginning of October which was a bit of a gamble weather wise when I first set the date, however as you can remember the mini heat wave arrived just in time and the weather was beautiful.

The shoot was at The Old Hall Country House in the village of Madeley near Crewe. This is a fantastic venue owned by Gary and Simon White that specializes in intimate weddings and has also appeared in and won Four In a Bed on Channel 4. Model Shelly Tickle absolutely rocked the lovely wedding dress which was supplied by my good friend Janet from Cheadle Bride and the stunning red rose bouquet was supplied by Laura from Grestys Florists.

The venue is gorgeous, I’ve shot there previously and have several bookings for this year (New Years Eve!) and next. There are so many areas to experiment with and the shoot gave me that chance to try some new things that you don’t always have time to do on a wedding day.
