This morning, we look back on one of Hollywood’s most famous redheads for today’s dose of bridal inspiration as we continue the Hollywood Vogue series by McAvoy Weddings and their fabulous team of North West bridal talent.

Over to Jenny McAvoy: Wholesome but sassy, forthright and vulnerable, honest and energetic, Ginger Rogers was one of Hollywood’s biggest stars of the 1930s and 1940s. As Fred Astaire’s romantic interest and dancing partner, Ginger was one half of the most legendary dancing team in film history epitomizing grace, energy and sophistication.

We fell in love with Ginger’s coy vulnerability and so recreated the iconic Hollywood portrait scene with stunning red-head model Rebecca Scott.  Complete with 1930s roller curled hair, strong brows and lips by the make-up and hair team, Rebecca was captured against the backdrop of the Belle Epoque’s satin padded wall in the upper hall in a Jenny Packham gown, lent by Aphrodite.

The couple scenes with Greg McAvoy were inspired by the chemistry and passion that filled the air when Fred and Ginger danced together.
