Its been treats galore on the wedding blog this week as we continue to speed towards Christmas at what seems like break neck speed. As McAvoy Weddings and their team continue with their very special Hollywood Vogue bridal inspiration series this morning on Brides Up North my thoughts are turning to Christmas party sparkle and festive flair. Watch this space for some winter wedding inspired party frocks, coming soon.

Meanwhile, Jenny McAvoy explains: Mystery and glamour are the first things that come to mind when the name Marlene Dietrich is mentioned. Incredibly smart, glamorous, charming and fiercely nurturing, she embodied vigour and confidence. She was not afraid to do or say anything. It was said that when Dietrich walked into a room everything stopped.

We fell in love with Marlene’s glamour and exotic looks, which inspired this sensuous bedroom scene, taken in the Belle Epoque. Our model Alex wore another stunning Jenny Packham dress from Aphrodite, wraps by Wrapor complete with flower arrangements by Rosa and Co and headband by Tiny Gems, whilst Jesse Bradbury held her in this intimate setting.
