Jenny McAvoy explains the inspiration behind the shoot: Nicknamed the “Love Goddess” Rita Hayworth was one of the most glamorous actresses in cinematic history, but she was much more than a beautiful face. Rita was an exceptionally talented dancer, and her performances embodied a combination of strength and sensitivity that set her apart from other screen sirens, and made her just as popular with female audiences.

From the top of her head to the tips of her fingernails she was the ultimate screen siren, who was as famous for changing her hair colour, notably to red, as for her acting.

Rita’s pin up model looks and red hair were recreated in these beautiful scenes on the Belle Epoque terrace and hall. Model Rebecca Scott captures the Hollywood heyday in a simple Jenny Packham dress from Aphrodite. Flowers were arranged by Rosa and Co and hair and make-up created by the talented hair and make-up team Beth Davies, Maritza Haydon and Romy Richardson. Jesse Bradbury doesn’t take centre stage in this scene emphasizing Rebecca’s beauty and strength and of course stunning red hair.
